I hesitate to speculate about the motives for some of the attacks, but I have noticed that some accounts achieved fame by attacking Trump. There is something appealing about attacking and being the "opposition" party and going after those in power.
It's important to do so when necessary. It's important to question everything.
This includes questioning whether attacks have an evidentiary basis or whether they are based on speculation.
If the DOJ was closing its eyes, wouldn't that have leaked? Wouldn't insiders be angry?

If the subpoenas are any guide, the timeframe of this investigation is April 2020, when Trump first started seeding doubts about the election through the insurrection and coverup.
