It's commenting on big accounts in your niche.

But most people do this wrong and hurt their growth. Eventually give up.

1. Don't hate

If you don't agree with someone's POV

Just ignore it

Leaving hate comment will get you nothing

Most big accounts will block you

Twitter is a great place to network with winners

Don't burn bridges by leaving hateful comments

No upside

2. Don't post links

Promoting your products or affiliate products under someone's tweet will get you blocked

Don't be shortsighted. You're here to build relationships

Play the long-term game

Don't ruin your reputation trying to make a few bucks

3. Don't ask stupid questions

Do not ask googlable questions

ie. "What's an copywriting?"

You'll annoy the creator + other people who are reading your comments

You don't want to look stupid.

It'll hurt you growth and brand both

4. Don't tag your own account

It's just plain dumb

Everytime I ask people to recommend me a few good accounts

At least 10 people tag themselves

Do you think I'm going to follow you?
Hell no...

Add value...
don't self-promote

5. Don't reword the original tweet

I see this a lot...

People just re-word the orginal tweet and comment

It doesn’t add any value

Don't do it

If you'll do it multiple times, most big players will block you

6. Don't try to be witty if you don't know the creator

This is tricky.

Sometimes a witty comment will get you a lot of attention

But it can hurt if the creator doesn't know you well

Be respectful.
Don't try to be oversmart

Won't help you

7. Don't be needy

I get a ton of these

"can you follow me?"

"can you RT my tweet?"

Have some self-respect

If you'll add value, most big accounts will recognize that reward you with a RT

Don't make these mistakes and you'll do well.
