More than a year after 1/6 and with growing political pressure from Democrats, the Biden DOJ filed its first sedition charges -- against Oath Keeper Stewart Rhodes. Sedition charges are very rare and hard: will be interesting to see if they can convict.
This is an outstanding, I'd even say must-watch, segment from @ryangrim, reporting on everything revealed by the newly released Fauci emails regarding the origins of COVID and Fauci's clear attempt, with Dr. Collins, to stifle media or scientific debate.
Like Russiagate, the question of COVID's origins is bereft of ideology: a purely evidentiary inquiry. But nothing evades this dreary left-right prism. So all this became a Culture War fight over Fauci. That Grim is anchored in liberal-left politics thus makes this more notable.
The obvious reality is many people -- particularly in elite political and media circles -- have decided that it's best not to know for sure how COVID originated.
The implications from discovering that it came from US-funded lab research are too grave: ignorance is preferred.
"Fifty percent say the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 was an attack on democracy that should never be forgotten, while 44 percent say too much is being made of the storming of the U.S. Capitol and it's time to move on."
So basically just Democrats care.
Americans don't like 1/6, but clearly aren't anywhere near as obsessed as the media, and it's declining.
In August: " 57 percent said it should never be forgotten and 38 percent said it was time to move on."
This may be, but then why isn't Epps among the more than 700 people charged in connection with 1/6 when there are multiple videos showing him doing far more than many if not most than those who have been charged?
Also, why doesn't the @January6thCmte tell us whether FBI had informants and other agents participating in the organizing of 1/6 and in 1/6 itself -- as the NYT already confirmed it did -- and how many of them there were and what roles they played? Why can't those be answered?
When even the NYT is saying this, there's only so long that these questions about the FBI can be avoided by the Congressional 1/6 Committee even though they obviously have zero interest in finding out any of this.
Hate @TedCruz all you want but these questions about FBI's role in 1/6 are vital: because it's what FBI did in the 1st War on Terror and with the Whitmer case, but also because there's ample evidence they did it here. The media's indifference is shameful:
From the start, there has been ample reason to believe FBI's involvement in 1/6 was significant. But there's been no pressure to find out because most of the corporate media -- subservient as always to the Security State -- rendered the topic off-limits:
I apologize to the large number of liberals and some of their left allies for impugning the integrity of FBI and suggesting that they may not have been entirely forthcoming about their role in 1/6, and for believing this should be investigated. I know how much anger it produces.
Consistent with their handling of Djokovic situation, Australian officials apparently failed to realize that there would be more interest than usual in this court hearing and therefore failed to ensure the live stream worked, meaning the hearing is taking place in secret.👍
The stream now seems to be working for those interested in watching the hearing on Djokovic's legal challenge to Australia's refusal to allow him into their country due to his unvaccinated status:
The hearing is still early and it's always difficult to know for sure, but the judge certainly seems quite receptive and even supportive of the arguments of Djokovic's lawyers thus far for why the revocation of his visa and denial of entrance by Australian officials was unlawful.
