@seculardotorg That not believing that a deity exists (and all the accompanying baggage) is no more of a character defect than not believing in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or the Tooth Fairy. Judge me for how I treat others, not what dogma I subscribe to.
@seculardotorg That not accepting religious dogma is not a rejection of morality. Disbelief in a deity as supreme moral authority does raise the difficult question of how to live a moral life. But wishing for such an authority isn’t an argument for its existence.
@seculardotorg That *no one* speaks for atheists/agnostics. Disbelief doesn’t imply subscription to any brand of dogma. Unless I endorse an atheist celebrity or organization, don’t assume their views represent or even resemble mine. Want to know what I think? Ask me!
@seculardotorg Social and legal systems strongly favor believers over non-believers—suppressing and discriminating against those who don’t believe, both in the US and worldwide. If some atheists/agnostics seem bitter, they might have good reason. Don’t judge them for that.
@seculardotorg Religious belief is not required to have sense of purpose & meaning. It’s true that abandoning dogma after a lifetime of belief is uncomfortable, but welcome to the real world. If a myth helps you face it, fine—but don’t impose that myth on others.
@seculardotorg Most discussions between believers and non-believers on religious topics end up revolving around, or often clashing on one or more of those five issues. It’s good to be aware of them.

@EenaRuffini@SecPompeo@realDonaldTrump The evangelical extremists would like nothing more than to bring on the Armageddon. Their narrative is that God chose an imperfect man (Trump) to bring it on. Vote ‘em out.

1/ In 1993 the US and North Korea agreed to support a 1992 joint agreement between NK and SK. I’ve attached the points in that agreement and the points in the Trump/Kim Jong Un agreement for comparison. It’s pretty easy to figure out which is which.
2/ Trump’s toothless agreement along with his offer to end joint military exercises with SK set a disastrous precedent for future negations, and play into China’s and Russia’s hands.
