I am preparing a thread marathon on corruption cases in Malaysia since 1 March 2020. Be prepared.
Muhyiddin sworn-in as PM on 1 March 2020.
Latheefa Koya announces her resignation from MACC on 6 March 2020.
Azam Baki becomes No. 1 in MACC thanks to Muhyiddin on 9 March 2020.
After PN came to power, the first MACC report against former PH administration members was this one, filed in March 2020. A case against Daim. Until today, status of this is unknown.
Then in the same month of March 2020, Syed Saddiq files a police report that a sum of RM250,000 was stolen from his home. To date, no progress has been made on this case by the Police

While it was going on, Syed Saddiq was also defiant in his stance that he would stay in PPBM and fight them from within.
Just merely a week later, MACC springs into action over Syed Saddiq’s missing money, probing the matter from a different angle.
Ahmad Khusairi Yahya becomes Deputy Chief Commissioner MACC in April 2020 under PN Government. Norazlan Mohd Razali becomes its new investigation director. These two people are now Azam Baki’s Deputies plus one more lady.
May 5, 2020: Corruption allegation against Health Minister Adham Baba. This case went nowhere, outcome unknown.
May 14, 2020, AGC under Idris Harun decided to let go Riza Aziz free despite the fact he swindled more than a billion ringgit.
May 25, 2020: The suspicious disappearance of MACC Twitter account for weeks.
A video clip of Muhyiddin saying how he was offering GLC positions to secure support was circulated in end May 2020.

June 1, 2020, @milosuam wonders why no action against Muhyiddin caught in an audio tape about using GLC positions to obtain support.
June 4, 2020 A Bersatu Armada member and Syed Saddiq aide is arrested by MACC over Saddiq’s missing cash report. At this stage, it appears strange for MACC to get involved but Ahmad Khusairi says its about Bersatu’s missing money.

June 5, 2020, Dr Mahathir warns that MACC is being used by PN Government.
June 6, 2020 MACC Director of Investigations, Datuk Norazlan Mohd Razali (now Deputy to Azam Baki) denies the mental torture report by Syed Saddiq aide.
June 7, 2020 Datuk Norazlan Mohd Razali, announces the seizure of RM600,000 of money belonging to Bersatu Armada.
June 9, 2020 Musa Aman’s corruption case of RM213.5 million plus around RM160 million money laundering charges get dropped by Muhyiddin’s AG Idrus Harun.

Apparently, Dr M warned SPRM against abuse of power and that they would face consequences if continued.

June 10, 2020 Anwar questions Musa Aman’s release.
Just 2 days after Musa Aman’s acquittal, MACC goes for Shafie Apdal’s Minister Peter Anthony. As we write today, this guy has quit Shafie after his defence was called by Court in Dec 2021. He wanted adjournment but DPP Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin objecting.
On same day, another Shafie Apdal’s man, Mohammadin Ketapi’s cronies get arrested over a RM90 million scandal in Tourism Malaysia while under PH Government. Mohammadin Ketapi have quit Warisan and became PN friendly now.

At the same time, @weechookeong wondered what happened to another RM90 mil scandal happened in the same Tourism Malaysia when Nazri Aziz was the Tourism Minister. Project awarded just before GE14. Nazri Aziz is also a good friend of Guan Eng.
June 13, 2020, Tun Mahathir says Muhyiddin will ensure UMNO MPs facing corruption charges will go free. At least one, Tengku Adnan, is free now because AGC did not appeal.
On the same day, Singapore Exchange announced probe against Mirzan Mahathir. Status of this as at now is unknown.
June 16, 2020 MACC arrests Johor Islamic Affairs employee for RM130,000 bribe. Status of this case, I am not sure.
June 18, 2020 Syed Saddiq is subjected to police investigations over the statements he made to Mehdi Hasan, Aljazeera.
June 19, 2020 MACC arrests a Senior Cop over RM20,000 bribe but status of this case is also unknown. Settled?
June 22, 2020 PH makes a statement that opposition MPs including their MPs are subjected to intimidation by investigating authorities. They didn’t name the agencies.
June 23, 2020 It’s been a month but SPRM twitter account did not return.
June 25, 2020 MACC arrests an ex-foundation CEO Datuk for allegedly abusing position. No update on this case to date unless I missed the report.
June 27, 2020. Second half of June 2020 appears to be rather quiet month for MACC as Parliament affairs take centre stage. Speaker Mohamad Ariff Mohd Yusof is set for sacking by Muhyiddin.
This update is only upto June 2020. To be continued.

Jul 4, 2020 Azam Baki announces that they are in final stages of completing the Penang Tunnel corruption probe.
Jul 4, 2020 The Star ran a headline on imminent arrests in Penang Tunnel corruption scandal.
Jul 6, 2020 MACC arrests three for making around RM1 million false claim. I am not aware of any update on this case.
Jul 8, 2020 A Mat Sabu political secretary, Mohd Azhar Che Mat Dali is arrested by SPRM. He was later in October 2020 charged for corruption over RM6.4 million.

Jul 10, 2020 Meanwhile, @weechookeong continued to keep the pressure on SC and MACC for not doing anything on AirAsia bribery case. Both did not show any sign that they are investigating AirAsia top executives.

Jul 23, 2020 A tweet on asset declaration by the PN Ministers shown here by an activist. The asset listing seem unbelievable.
On the same day, Azam Baki also says that the investigation papers on Penang Tunnel will be submitted to AGC shortly.
Jul 24, 2020 The Muhyiddin Audio tape matter has been submitted to AGC, says Azam Baki. Nothing is heard on this until today.
Jul 27, 2020 Mahathir aide puts up a tweet to claim that Syed Saddiq’s mum not well and yet being called up few times for inquiry by MACC to pressure Saddiq.
Jul 28, 2020 Najib Razak is convicted of all criminal charges in SRC Case. A major victory for MACC and Idris Harun. Muhyiddin should also be commended for not applying any underhand tactics.
On same day, Latheefa Koya put out a tweet of gratitude to MACC officers.
Another gratitude tweet to people who fought Najib when he was in power.
MACC themselves can’t contain their emotions. It was a hard fought victory despite the very challenging circumstances.

Also on Aug 14, 2020 Shah Alam City Council Enforcement Director arrested plus 8 others for giving protection to illegal gambling syndicates. No idea what happened to this case. If you know, record it in reply.
MACC also investigated PDRM but not surprisingly, no outcome to date.
The operations by MACC followed revelations by Asri Janggut about the existence of protection rackets among enforcement agencies.
Sungai Buloh Police called it “fitnah” by Asri Janggut and that’s it.

Azam Baki did not deny that there are other enforcement agencies protecting illegal gambling dens in Sungai Buloh but no arrest on any other agency other than Shah Alam City Council officers. No one prosecuted unless I missed it. Pls help me.

Aug 24, 2020 Anwar Ibrahim asks in parliament on the updated about Health Ministry’s RM30 million project. Minister says MACC is still probing. To date, there is no news on this.

August 26, 2020 A book issue raised by netizens against Azmin. Nothing happened to this case.
Aug 27, 2020 Zuraida says two direct nego projects approved without her knowledge. Later, photographs emerged of her inspecting the projects with contractors.
Aug 27, 2020 Guan Eng turns the table on PN and BN. He says only 1.38% percent of the direct negos were done by PH and the rest were legacy projects of BN. The issue dies there.
And through the open fight between Dr M and Tony Pua, we learnt mostly it was Dr M and Bersatu faction which wanted to "honour the sanctity of contracts" signed by BN and that's why they did not go for retender.
Aug 30, 2020 Guan Eng issues a statement demanding MACC investigate Deputy Defence Minister Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz for recommending his son, Ikmal Hazlan, to the board of Pharmaniaga.

Not many know the GLC Cartel in Malaysia is most corrupt and these English-speaking lot look down on Malay-speaking SPRM because their corruption scandals are huge, sophisticated and beyond the comprehension of SPRM.
See how Azam Baki is facing ferocious scrutiny over less than half a million ringgit share purchase compared to GLC cartel's millions of ringgit pay package and their involvement in billion dollar scandals.
Look at the 1MDB scandal. Without GLC cartel's cooperation, Najib couldn't have swindled billions.

The 4th Floor Cartel took deep root during Abdullah Badawi's reign. It is still causing severe damage to Malaysia long after he left the scene.
Prior to that, it was Mahathir and his billionaires' club that caused damage. Anwar had his own billionaires' club but they shifted allegiance after his sacking from UMNO. These billionaires are still around and causing damage too.
Najib employed pure conmen and everything unravelled for UMNO-BN. But they have bounced back in quick time.

Najib's blog had made it political between MACC and DAP. But the lack of focus on larger corruption issues do show hypocrisy. Guan Eng corruption itself is so huge and he has not taken garden leave. anotherbrickinwall.blogspot.com/2022/01/uproar…
Guan Eng was not worried when Consortium Zenith was caught paying huge bribe to middlemen and politicians to help them settle MACC cases and wanted the company to continue the project.
Here is the proof DAP didn't blink an eye that despite admission of huge corruption by Consortium Zenith they continued to carry on with their unholy alliance with Consortium Zenith. Consortium Zenith also full of UMNO people.

Anwar Ibrahim going soft on ruling government had happened in the past for those old enough to know. That was when he was released from prison in 2004, he headed straight to US for two years, the critical period when the 4th Floor was doing lot of nonsense. Image
During that period of lapses, the effective opposition was UMNO themselves. When Anwar came back in 2006, he capitalised on some of the groundswell created by the old man against Sleepy Head. But he did work vigorously from 2006 onwards to score massive wins in GE12.
UMNO's Abdullah Badawi promised reforms. UMNO's Najib promised reforms. Former UMNO's Mahathir promised reforms. Bottomline is, UMNO is inherently incapable of reforms and our country is stuck in 90s. Image

Reading the MACC papers leaked by RPK on Ambank and Zeti.
Blood vommitting seeing the robbery by various banks, middlemen, large and reputable legal firms and of course Zeti and Nor Mohamed Yackop. Zeti's husband pocketed more than RM100 million!
Fcuk, the MACC report says MOF has been paying all interest payments for Sukuk issued by 1MDB from 2009 (very beginning) till 2018 (the end of BN). And MACC says MOF never raised any issue. The scoundrel Irwan Serigala in MOF!
