The Lowcountry redistricting fight isn’t over!

There is a push from the #Gerrymander crowd to flood the redistricting committee email account.

We must keep CHS county whole & insure competitive districts.

Suggested talking points for the 'Whole County Map':

-Keeps most counties in SC whole
- Keeps communities of interest together (like West Ashley)
- Keeps CHS County whole (and in SC-01)
- Maintains the competitiveness of SC-01.
- Keeps SC-01 a 'coastal district'

Suggested talking points against the ‘House approved-map’:

-There’s no reason to put West Ashley or Johns Island in the same district as Columbia (100 miles away), while keeping North Charleston and downtown Charleston (2 miles away) in separate districts.

- Under the House map, SC-01 doesn’t have a single whole county, but parts of 6 counties. The goal should be to keep counties whole whenever possible.

Competitiveness is key.

Voters win when there is a competition of ideas.

We can not allow entrenched politicians to take away our voice by drawing nonsense districts.
