The #BAYC DAO will transfer ownership of the #BAYC brand and IP from Yuga labs to the community pushing the price of OG apes to 10M USD.
Here's how and why.
In order to understand the DAO you need to understand the $APE token drop. Membership in the DAO will be granted to #BAYC apes and mutants as well as holders of the $APE token. See my bullish post on $APE for more details.
The #BAYC brand and IP is currently owned and controlled by Yuga Labs and is worth tens of billions of dollars. On January 3rd, Yuga Labs announced they would transfer this asset to the community via the DAO.
Current #BAYC NFT holders own commercial rights to their NFT but not the #BAYC brand, logo, and collective IP.
The #BAYC DAO will become a lucrative revenue producing organization that will license or decide not to license the #BAYC brand to the entertainment industry for fees distributed to DAO holders.
If Disney, a 276B corporation, transferred its IP and assets to 10,000 collectors, each collector would be gifted 27M in IP holdings.
This is precisely why you should never sell your APE.
But the #BAYC is not Disney... yet. Nor did Disney grow to be a multi-billion dollar brand in 9 months like the #BAYC has done.
Disney is the realized potential of the #BAYC brand and IP which will be transferred to the DAO which is owned by you, the ape.
In 2021 Disney had 22.2B in gross income. With 1.8 billion shareholders, this amounts to $12 per share.
If the #BAYC IP realizes 1/10th of Disney, an ape holder could receive 200k in yearly earnings via the DAO alone.
If the #BAYC IP becomes the next Disney, this dividend yield is 2M per ape yearly.
Apes, mutants, and doggos will receive a drop of $APE token in Q1. To maximum the $APE token's value, $APE will be used as membership to the DAO along with ownership of an ecosystem NFT. A 50/50 split seems reasonable.
If you hold your #BAYC ape/mutant/doggo/token, you should expect to own 1 / 10,000th of what is shaping up to be a brand as big as Disney and could amount to a 200k -> 2M yearly dividend.
Today I bought a pixilated #wolfgame jpeg for $43,600 and it wasn't for the art.
Here's why:
Axie Infinity has owned p2e gaming for the last 6 months and printed a billion dollar economy. It is the king in the p2e space, but it has one major flaw... it's not fun to play.
#WolfGame has been divided into two prologues and a main game. The first prologue innovated in bringing risk and theft to p2e gaming. A sheep playing #wolfgame stacked 100's of thousands of $wool the in game currency.
The building blocks of a p2e game are NFT assets, land, and a token. It would make sense for the #BAYC p2e game to continue the roadmap 2.0 themes of Ape vs. Mutant.
