Here is a link to the actual Execurive Order rescinding the mask mandate effective Jan 24.

2/The school boards and superintendence across the commonwealth of Virginia are going to use Senate Bill 1303 to fight us in resending the mask mandate. They are going to use the wording in that bill to say their hands are tied and they can not #FREETHEIRFACES

3/In your letter you must use every bit of information to tell them why SB1303 does not apply to masking and why it hurts children.

Understand that the CDC does not mandate, but recommends.

SB1303 says “maximal extent practicable”. This is a judgement call.

4/Whose judgement are we talking about? The school boards’ ? The Superintendents’? The parents’? According to the Governor’s Executive Order, IT US THE PARENTS’ JUDGEMENT!
@GlennYoungkin’s new administration gave that power to parents yesterday!

5/ @Dunnavant4VA, who wrote SB1303 in order to return our kids to the classroom five days per week is asking the new attorney general, @JasonMiyaresVA to review the law. She is working with the new administration to make 1303 a permanent law and remove the end date.

6/We will help her to get this done and to ensure that this bill is not manipulated by our schools to continue to harm our children. @EliciaBrand and @erinrosellepoe1 will be looking for people across the Commonwealth to help!

7/ In the meantime, please write your letters to your School Boards and Superintendents today.
