The idea of building a $100,000/mo eCom store can feel impossible.
Especially if you're new to wifi money.
Here's the 8 lessons I would have told myself starting out.
(#6 changed everything for me)
> A thread 🧵<
1. Take the Leap of Faith
You will never find the PERFECT time to start.
And you will never feel 100% ready.
Be brave and bet big on yourself.
Don't wait. Just do it.
2. Don't Fear Failure
You can let fear control you…
Or you can use it as fuel for your action.
Don't get trapped by fear.
It's a sign you're growing.
Embrace fear.
3. Be Disciplined
If you knew all the steps to succeed, would you?
Probably.
The problem...
You need to ACTUALLY complete the steps.
Not just look at them for hours 😂
The key is being disciplined.
Complete the steps.
Every. Single. Day.
4. Building is Boring
At the start, success is doing boring things every day.
It isn't sexy.
It isn't fast cars.
It isn't 100 sales notifications a day.
But if you get through the boring...
Things start getting exciting.
5. Protect Your Time
Life can get in the way.
I find the most productive time is:
• Early morning
• The weekend
• After 5pm
Basically the time when everyone else isn't working.
Turn these times into your work time.
Watch your productivity sky rocket.
6. Think Long Term
You read 4 hour work week (Tim Ferris).
But you can't achieve that life in 2 weeks.
Don't set unrealistic expectations.
Play the long game.
Good things take time.
7. Invest cashflow
You've heard the expression...
"Money makes money"
Use positive cashflow to reinvest in your business.
Double down on success when you see it.
If you aren't growing your dying.
8. Enjoy the Journey
You want success yesterday…
You think about your dream future all the time.
But don't forget to live in the now.
Enjoy your successes.
And then push on.
To sum up:
1. Take the Leap 2. Don't Fear Failure 3. Be Disciplined 4. Building is Boring 5. Protect your time 6. Think Long Term 7. Invest cashflow 8. Enjoy the Journey
