A thread of why Ravencoin is a top notch blockchain (right behind Bitcoin)

1) $RVN is a fork of #BTC, genesis block in early 2018, and just had its first halving (block reward halved from 5000 #RVN to 2500 #Ravencoin)

I don’t think Ravencoin can compete with Bitcoin in terms of BTC’s use as the main digital currency. We don’t need another BTC. But what we do need is a BTC that can handle a peer to peer transfer of assets on a secure, decentralized blockchain. That’s what RVN is.

RVN offers the same ethos as BTC. Fair launch, proof of work, no premine, it’s ASIC Resistant which allows the barriers for entry for mining to be a lot lower than BTC. This doesn’t make Ravencoin “better” (it’s different in a good, way, like BTC’s younger faster layer 1 brother)

Ravencoin allows for an extremely simple, decentralized way of creating and transferring assets peer to peer. These assets can be anywhere from digital art, to gold, to actual digital shares of a company (aka security tokens).

Gold, silver, diamonds from Canada, wine, real estate, and a few hundred thousand $ worth of NFTs have already traded hands and been tokenized on Ravencoin with lots of projects in the works as of right now.

The real best part about tokenizing digital shares of a company is that Ravencoin makes it extremely simple with Restricted Assets. These are built to be safe from SEC scrutiny (in the USA), and they can be made with simple button pushing. No need for smart contracts!

You can quite literally tokenize your entire company’s ownership in the form of security tokens onto Ravencoin, and it is extremely cheap compared to current, traditional methods and cheaper than other blockchains (like ETH)

Overall, on Ravencoin, no one has the keys to your digital assets except you, and they’re extremely easy and extremely cheap to send around. You can mine Ravencoin with a GPU without the risk of competing against ASICs.

RVN fees are also very low, .04 RVN to send 20,000,000 RVN

If you see this tweet, read the rest of this thread to get a good idea what $RVN #Ravencoin has to offer the world. You can run your entire business on Ravencoin even if the price of 1 RVN was worth less than SHIB.

Extra Stuff:

On top of all that, Ravencoin allows for NFT creation on layer 1 unlike other chains with IPFS embedded in each unique token.

These tokens are truly unique and immutable, and all assets on the Ravencoin blockchain are human readable! No strings of 0x816hke..etc

The cost of a main asset (similar to a domain name) is 500 RVN, which is burned out of existence. 5 RVN is burned for each “Unique Asset” (this is what NFTs were called back in 2018 when Ravencoin created these non-fungible tokens. They are all 1/1.

Lastly all assets have unique names. No domain name or token can have the same name as another token. If you own the asset name NFT, no one else can have that name unless you send them the token that controls the asset (called an administrative token).

Under that main asset, you can build as many NFTs as you want and also Subassets. Subassets are tokens that are up to 21 billion in quantity and each single token can be divisible down to 8 decimal places (like bitcoin).

To creat all of these tokens, you just push some simple buttons and boom, the tokens/assets exist on the blockchain and are placed into your wallet. No smart contracts needed and no coding required means no back doors.

NFTs are just the surface luckily. The real value is the creation of the restricted assets that I touch on in the main thread. They’re easy to make and offer utilities to stay within SEC regulations (as long as you are exempt under a certain Reg).

Digital shares are easy to make

Any company or small business can offer equity in their company through these digital shares, and dividends can be distributed based on the share/restricted asset holders Ravencoin addresses. It’s very intuitive and unprecedented in the world of investment and private equity.
