Now that it’s clear Trump is being indicted in New York, the media has (baselessly) decided today that he’ll definitely run in 2024. The more obvious it is that Trump is toast, the more loudly the media tries to shout down the facts, in favor of hyping ratings-friendly fiction.

When Trump is arrested, the media will insist that he’s *definitely* going to win in 2024 now.

And if Trump happens to drop dead at any point, the media will insist that now he’s really got us where he wants us.

Everyone in the media knows that Trump is merely acting like he’s going to run in 2024, so he can rake in donations and use it for legal bills. Yet the media is helping him pretend he’s going to run. Trump and the media have arguably entered into a criminal conspiracy to defraud.

Even if Trump did want to run in 2024 to save himself from prison, that’s not a thing. If he’s indicted in 2022 in New York and Georgia, he’ll go on trial in 2022 or early 2023, and enter prison in 2023. Being a candidate wouldn’t somehow magically save him from entering prison.

Again, everyone in the media knows this. But they’ll still spend this year loudly pretending that Trump can magically stay out of prison by running in 2024. The media will be flat out lying to you in the name of chasing ratings. You need to be prepared for this.

If you think the media’s Trump 2024 hype is hyperbolic now, just wait until he’s indicted. Some in the media may come clean at that point and admit he’s toast. But most in the media will just get louder with the Trump 2024 hype, because they have no idea how else to get ratings.

The Trump era boosted ratings across the board and saved a lot of media people from getting laid off. Now that boom is over, ratings are back to traditional levels, and layoffs have begun. Media folks are afraid of becoming unemployed and are willing to go to desperate lengths.

While everyone in the media knows that Trump won’t win in 2024 or even be a candidate once the race gets underway, the media also knows it can chase ratings right now in 2022 by pretending Trump will run. When he doesn’t, you’ll be too relieved to realize the media deceived you.

This is the same media that spent every day of the 2016 election cycle lying to you about an email scandal that didn’t exist. CNN, MSNBC, and the New York Times were every bit as dishonest about that as Fox News was.

This is the same media that’s still pretending January 6th “almost” gave Trump another term, even though not one of them has even tried to explain how Trump could have magically remained in office even if Pence had gone along with it or perished.

So don’t be shocked when most of all of the mainstream media responds to Trump’s indictment by ramping up the hype about how Trump is making a magic comeback. They’ll even insist that getting arrested has merely – their favorite hype word – “emboldened” Trump to take over.

Each time Trump took another ugly blow in the 2020 election and his remote odds of winning dropped even further, most of the media (left right and center) responded by insisting it would just “embolden” him and now he was REALLY going to win.

He lost by seven million votes.

Keep in mind that while most of you know exactly why “Trump 2024” is a silly punchline, the media has a habit of drilling home these false narratives on a daily basis until it wears you down, you stop using your brain, and let your emotions get played (especially on tv)

Once the media has succeeded in getting you to fear that its scary ratings driven fictional narratives might have at least some chance of being real, you become a paralyzed blob who just stares at your screen in fear, you stop becoming an activist, and without you, we lose.

The good news is you can fight back before the media has a chance to zombify you. Turn off MSNBC and CNN whenever they start hyping doomsday nonsense. Contact the hosts on social media and let them know why you’re tuning them out (be civil or they’ll ignore you).

The point is not to punish the mainstream media for its dishonesty. The point is to forcibly steer the media toward honesty. If the media comes to understand that it’ll get bigger audiences and better ratings by being more honest, it’ll be more honest.
