'Tesla' will also be 'Pfizer'!!

★ Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Tesla factory in Fremont, California in 2015, both China and India invited Tesla to build its first production factory.

★ After showing interest in India in the early period, Alan Musk signed a

contract with China to start a factory in Shanghai in 2017. As of October that year, the company paid $140 million off Shanghai and in January 2020, the company launched its first 'Made-in-China' model-3 sedan.

★ Immediately after the decision to start a factory in China, Musk

changed his game and started demanding discounts on imports to his company.

★ If India wants to accept Musk demands, India will have to remove current import charges which are 60 percent on electric vehicles worth $40,000 or less and 100 percent for any price above. Looking at

Tesla's price, their cars come into a 100 percent import charges bracket, making it difficult for Alan Musk to sell 'made-in-China' vehicles in India.

★ Cars sold by luxury car manufacturers (cars above Rs 30 lakh) in India are less than 2% of the total sold vehicles.

China's luxury car segment is 13% of the total market. Market-shares, not incentive from any kind of govt - it's the reason that forced Tesla to choose China over India.

★ In India, sales of EV vehicles are currently 1.3% and if that percentage is to increase up to

30 per cent of total cars sold in India - according to the Centre's target by 2030 - then, companies that need incentives in the 'small-car' segment These are the companies. Tesla just doesn't fit in it.

★ The government has already announced PLI (Production Linked Incentive)

schemes worth Rs 44k crore for automobile and battery production in the country. If Tesla is allowed to sell their cars in India without building a manufacturing project, it will go against the argument of asking other companies to invest in India, because then they can also

import vehicles from outside! Apart from PLI scheme, India has already reduced GST on EVs by 5%. Therefore, import charges are not waived..Guaranteed!

Minister Rabbani tweeting Alan Musk, but by Center's policy. Once the investment is decided, there is a competition among states to take that project to our state. Currently Alan Musk is eager to bring China-made vehicles to India, but Modi does not like 'Tesley' business!

Shut up, land and land are provided near Tumkur in Karnataka, make vehicles there and then sell in India. Don't mind too much.. This is a clear message from Modi government. There will be no 'exceptions'. Alan Musk no matter how big it is, but at his home!

Despite giving around 160 crore doses, the Modi government is doing with Pfizer, the same policy is implementing with Alan Musk: Only discussion, more discussion and only discussion! Until then, just as Bharat Biotech and Serum fulfilled the country's need for vaccines,

Tata and other Indian companies will also satisfy Indian people's EV needs.. No tension!
