BREAKING: Person Shot at Parade - West Indian American Day Parade in Brooklyn

A person was shot in the leg on Eastern Parkway by Crown Heights–Utica Avenue during the West Indian American Day Parade on Monday evening.

EMS units responded to the scene and reported one person shot. The incident occurred along the parade route where thousands had gathered for the annual celebration.

MSK is a leading hospital for cancer treatments and is one of the top hospital for childhood cancer, pioneering new treatments and research for neuroblastoma and other types of pediatric cancers. Families bring children from across the world to MSK to receive life saving treatment.

"We continue to implore Anthem to put the needs of our patients first and reach a fair agreement."

Beginning on January 1, 2025, Anthem will no longer include MSK as an in-network provider for Medicare Advantage patients.Image
