various thoughts about the Actual Right in no particular order after listening to a bunch of @kaschuta podcasts. off the cuff and its late so i cant promise quality
1. im not part of the right. probably goes without saying
2. im not part of the right partly bc i am basically liberal in temperament and partly bc im deeply skeptical of joining anything. there are other reasons as well
3. liberals should consider open critiques of liberalism
4. more specifically i think liberalism is not doing super hot right now and it behooves everyone to really consider how the most successful governing framework in history has stumbled, how to get righted, and how to avoid fucking up again
everything top end, i didnt realize appliances had tiers but apparently white goods are not a commodity and some are much better than others
in some ways i wish i hadnt learned this
just need a favorable appraisal now
i think the main issue is it only has three bedrooms, all second floor
main floor is parlour, living room, dining room, kitchen but these are all exclusively fit for entertaining
attic has potential, but has heating/cooling challenges and is not as well-finished
one idea i had (cc @selentelechia) is that we could use the attic as spare bedroom with convertible bedding, either those folding frames/mattresses or spare futons/tatami, also foldable
easy to put window ac or electric radiators up there
plane is 25 minutes late getting off the ground. now they are deicing it. i have only 60m between scheduled landing in portland and my connection to seattle. if i have to get a fucking car to drive up again i cannot say what will happen to the world
flight attendant greeted me on this flight apparently with my recent flight history. "oh gosh youve had five cancellations in the last month" yes yes i fucking have thank you for noticing
i think all of this is wrong on all sides and more i think arguing about this is low status so i will not elaborate on my critique. additionally as a public service i am locking replies to this tweet to keep anyone else from impulsively lowering /their/ status
caper: become a journalist and in every piece you write mention that someone is "queer" or perhaps "a queer icon". present no evidence of this. stare your editor down if he contradicts you
"today, queer icon and vice president kamala harris spoke at foggy bottom"
is SHE gonna deny it. i bet she wont
can you prove shes not? can anyone?
will you get sued? lol, in 2022? im sorry we have established that there is no moral valence to sexual orientation, and if someone calls you "queer" you what are the damages? how is this defamatory? go ahead. explain to the press why being queer is bad and youre not ok
