THREAD: Yesterday we released a massive data leak from inside Patriot Front, currently believed to be the largest and most active neo-nazi organization in the USA. unicornriot.ninja/2022/patriot-f…

Here's some of what we learned:
Patriot Front has around 220-230 members according to leader Thomas Rousseau, who is "absolutely desperate for new people": discordleaks.unicornriot.ninja/rocket-chat/ro…

PF's roster includes teens in HS as well as former members of other nazi groups like Identity Evropa & Traditionalist Worker Party. Image
The main information of public concern in the leak surrounds PF's leadership organizing nationwide defacement of murals and monuments to social justice and civil rights - acts deliberately planned to psychologically intimidate and unsettle racially diverse communities.
A prime example of this is a pro-tolerance mural in Olympia, WA that Patriot Front members vandalized at the direction of regional Network Director Colton Brown aka 'John WA.' PF members documented their racist vandalism in HD photo and video to prove their participation in the defacement. They did so because acts like these count towards weekly 'activism' quotas that 'Network Directors' pressure them to meet.

Colton Brown (Patriot Front's pacific northwest 'Director') repeatedly instructed others to vandalize pro-diversity murals, often telling them what exact implements to use:

Brown later privately told Thomas Rousseau he was worried himself and others in Patriot Front could catch criminal charges stemming from the Olympia mural, and discussed hiding related materials in case police visited him:

Patriot Front is particularly keen on destroying art that advocates for Black people.

Last month members discussed using various methods to deface a Black Lives Mural on the side of an ice cream shop in Brockton, Mass.:

A Patriot Front member in Michigan going by 'Alan' asked Thomas Rousseau for guidance about how to best vandalize historic civil rights murals on Detroit's "8 Mile Wall."

In November, an Indiana member 'Michael IN' asked for (and received) Rousseau's approval for using "roofing tar" and/or "cement" to cover over a George Floyd mural in Lafayette, IN that PF had damaged several times before:

Local news outlet @WLWT had previously reported in September that Lafayette's George Floyd mural had been defaced at least four times: msn.com/en-us/news/cri…
Some descriptions by eyewitnesses seem to match accounts given by local Patriot Front members in leaked RocketChat logs.

Another leaked video dated October 12 shows Patriot Front members at the ‘Harriet Tubman – Journey to Freedom’ statue in Jackson County, North Carolina. Patriot Front members in multiple states also coordinated to target FBI "report hate crimes" billboards as part of a December 18 "day of activism" called for by Rousseau:

In addition to placing banners over the anti-hate crime billboards, Patriot Front's leaked messages indicate they planned to "bring bolt cutters" to cut thru fences and intended to "cut" "down" the original message from one board.

On January 7, an ICE agent shot and killed an observer near 33rd and Portland Aves., only the most recent in a series of abuses of power that have steadily mounted in recent weeks. The Minneapolis Police Department once again appeared on the scene for “crowd control."
Local police arrived after federal agents sprayed chemicals on residents who responded to the shooting – part of a larger pattern in Minnesota of integrated police actions between federal, county and local law enforcement.

8 years ago today: A coalition of neo-nazi groups held the so-called "#UniteTheRight" rally in Charlottesville, VA - after planning online for months to carry out racially motivated violence.

The even ended early after being outnumbered by militant antifascists.
Police stood down most of the day as fascist groups openly carried out attacks while using slurs. After the rally was shut down, one neo-nazi ran into protesters with his car, killing Heather Heyer.

(The cop keeping the road closed had been allowed to leave her post earlier.)
Virginia State Troopers monitoring protesters discussed wanting to mass arrest anti-racists - who they called "motherfuckers" - shortly before the car attack.
