Daniel finished 4th in Friday's Red Raider Open in 7.47m

At the Hokie Invitational in Blacksburg, VA Tamia Badal [Concordia/Colorado/UCF] was close to PB form placing 2nd in the 60mH Prelim Heat#3 in a time of 8.60
She ran 8.62 in the final to cop 7th
Badal would then run 41.48 in Section 7 of the 300m final for 20th place

At the Vanderbilt Invitational Iantha Wright [Falcons, Life] tickled her PB in the 60m prelims with a third-fastest 7.53. She then smashed a new PR with a 7.47 to take bronze. Wright then grabbed 6th in the 200m with another PB time of 24.35, also for bronze

Jalen Purcell had a strong performance at the Dr MLK Jr Collegiate Invitational in Albuquerque NM in the 60m where he ran 6.77 in his season debut for West Texas A&M to finish 3rd

Northwest Missouri State @bearcatsports played host to the Northwest Open at the Hughes Fieldhouse on Saturday, and recent transfer Aaron Brewster made sure his name was calling, with a 6.94 run into third

Another transfer was in action for his new school, as Clement Campbell was at home for Pittsburgh's Nittany Lion Challenge
Campbell ran a new 60m PB of 6.94 in the prelim and 7.00 to finish 7th in the final

However, Akili had several top-10 placings on the day:

Tyra Gittens continues to steamroll her first HEP in two years with a leap of 6.67m—ONE cm off her all-time best—and takes 1062 points to move to a total of 4931 after 5 events
This pace is 124 pts ahead of her NR!
UPDATE:
Tyra Gittens has a best throw of 38.13m in the javelin and nabs 631pts and now sits on 5562 points, with a lead of 828 over Smith
This rate puts Gittens on a pace 151 points ahead of her current T&T National record in the HEP, set at the 2018 SEC Outdoor Championships
UPDATE:
Tyra Gittens comes to within HALF SECOND off her 800m PB and drops 2:28.52 to place second in the final event of the Texas A&M Team Invitational Women's Hepthathlon.
She gets 712 points and sets a 🚨NEW TTO NR🚨 of 6274!
