Anecdotally, I do not know any young people who died from C19.
I do know of several under 30s who took their own lives during the height of the lockdowns. And many more who became severely depressed.
This whole thing has really been a (largely avoidable) catastrophe.
Realistically, there is no way to accurately measure how much lockdowns, restrictions, and uncertainty created by govt policies impacted this, but it must be significant.
They created the perfect storm for a mental health crisis (which already existed). Most people took a hit.

For several decades, Western nations have been experiencing a severe rise in obesity and avoidable chronic diseases that kill millions annually.
The past 2 years could have been the PERFECT time for a strong public messaging campaign about getting and staying healthy...
Instead of emphasising nutrition, exercise, bodyweight regulation, and basic supplementation, the ENTIRE message has been about avoiding people, hiding your face, and taking injections indefinitely.
Nothing else. Absolutely nothing.
Even worse, many of the implemented policies WORSENED people's overall physical, mental, and relational health.
And the messaging created a breed of humans who are paranoid and terrified of themselves, each other, and the air they breathe.
In case you haven't noticed, one of my most consistent messages for years is to stop living in constant FEAR.
FEAR is why so much stuff is going wrong. The average person is not willing to stand for anything or defend themselves. Always afraid of (mostly imaginary) consequences.
Honestly, the societal bar for courage has never been lower... yet people become less and less willing to risk anything.
If you're not willing to deal with any minor fears or risks now, then expect much greater risks and consequences in the future.
Better to nip it in the bud.
I have never told anybody to go to war, or to brave bullets, swords, or bombs...
I simply encourage people to SPEAK. Use your voice and your actions.
Stand on what you believe in. Voice your concerns. Speak up when you see something wrong.
