They have also created room for the conversation about what we do "post covid". Until now, even bringing "post covid" up was fraught. The vax Karens and the COVID Zero people could not "hear" that sort of talk without hurling the anti-vaxer bomb. #NoVaccinePassportsAnywhere 8/
What has actually happened is that the convoy, by sheer good luck, rolled just as Omicron was on its way out. The logic of mandates, passports, lockdowns and masks depended on there being a dangerous virus ready to overwhelm the hospitals. #NoVaccinePassportsAnywhere 9/
As Omicron wanes, that logic collapses and with it the COVID narrative of "an abundance of caution". Now we can look at the costs of COVID measures without them being overwhelmed by the benefit of containing a killer disease. #NoVaccinePassportsAnywhere 10/
As I have said, it is going to take a while for the tightly wound, fear driven, Karens to accept the reality that COVID is over. I think the truckers, if nothing else, jump started that process. For which I am very grateful. #NoVaccinePassportsAnywhere 11/
