The whole point of defining "I think the best should get the job" as a microaggression and asserting that "colorblind racism" is a thing and then forcing training spreading these memes onto every public and private institution in America was to change this attitude
The public as a whole is largely persisting in its moral intuition about explicitly race-based public policy, but the 24 percent is as large as it is because of the conditioning provided in those seminars, which is now being entrenched through K-12 education
People in a position of institutional power who know this kind of approach will be dysfunctional and who have found various ways to sideline it through the decades lost all leverage after the summer of 2020 and gave up en masse
