Prosecutor says that while Sizer's criminal conduct was "minimal" in comparison to other rioters, it's clear that Sizer "wanted to breach the Capitol" and knew that the certification of the electoral college vote was happening inside. DOJ says she lied to the FBI.
Defense: “Jan. 6 is an embarrassment to her… she’s going to have a criminal record, she’s going to have some reprecussions… She’s embarrassed… She’s deterred, this is never going to happen again with Ms. Sizer.”
Julia Sizer tells the court she turned around after entering the Capitol.
“What am I doing?” she says she asked herself, and left DC sick to her stomach.
“I’m just ashamed… I’ve embarrassed myself, my family, friends… I’m just really ashamed… I don’t want it to define me."
Julia Sizer says she didn’t know what part of the Capitol she was going into. She’s only been to D.C. twice, and just went inside with the crowd, she says.
Judge Christopher Cooper points out that Ashli Babbitt was shot about the time Sizer entered the Capitol.
Judge Cooper made similar comments during Gracyn Courtright’s sentencing.
“A lot of things about what they do and how they do it were discussed, as long as they weren't specific to November, December 2020 or January 2021… I'm sure they were most interested in the stuff that criminal lawyers wouldn't let him answer.”

James McGrew, who was involved in brawl with officers in the rotunda and in the tunnel attack, is going to trial in July.
McGrew rejected a plea to counts 2 and 4 of his indictment.
DOJ tells court that sentencing guidelines under plea would've been 84-105 months (7-8+ years).
If he took that plea deal, McGrew likely would've received the longest sentence in the Jan. 6 investigation to date. He'll roll the dice with a jury instead. He's represented by John Pierce.
Here are the two counts that McGrew would've pleaded guilty to under the deal extended by the government, which could've sent him away for 7+ years due to his criminal history. Link to his superseding indictment: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
