This is why we are working on prevention, early diagnosis, and equal access to care.
Ahead of #WorldCancerDay and a year since the #EUCancerPlan, we are launching 4️new actions with specific objectives.
Here they are: ⬇️
Objective 1 ➞ Everyone in our 🇪🇺 Union should get the cancer treatment they need.
Our Cancer Inequalities Registry will help identify and tackle inequalities in cancer prevention and care due to gender, educational attainment and disparities between regions.
Objective 3 ➞ Eliminating cervical cancer by vaccinating against HPV at least 90% of girls, and to significantly increase the vaccination of boys by 2030.
We are working with EU countries to increase awareness of HPV and promote vaccination uptake.
What if the next big AI breakthrough came from Europe?
Today we announced an ambitious AI Continent Action Plan to make this happen ↓
Our plan includes:
🏭 13 AI Factories to drive innovation, connecting universities, startups, industry, and policymakers. These hubs will bring together top talent, high-quality data, and powerful computing.

🚀 The EU will also set up AI Gigafactories with 100,000 state-of-the-art AI chips – four times more than current AI factories.
📊 Data Labs will curate large, high-quality data.
🎯 We are launching the Apply AI Strategy to boost industrial use in EU sectors.
We want technologies and products to be created, manufactured and marketed in Europe.
And we must act now.
Our new Competitiveness Compass is the plan for Europe’s productivity and growth. ↓🧵
