1. Zucker is successfully spinning his firing/resignation as a simple matter of failing to disclose a consensual relationship with a subordinate
But that's not the whole story
2. The woman who Zucker was in a relationship with was Allison Gollust, CNN's Chief Marketing Officer.
But one thing I'm not seeing mentioned is that before joining CNN Gollust was THE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR FOR ANDREW CUOMO
3. Why is this significant?
Zucker defended CHRIS CUOMO for months after it was revealed he was advising his brother Andrew on how to handle allegations of sexual harassment
He was allowed to keep doing his show
4. Now we know that Zucker made this decision while IN AN UNDISCLOSED ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP WITH ANDREW CUOMO'S FORMER COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
That's why it came up during the investigation of Chris Cuomo.
5. So Zucker's undisclosed relationship was far more significant. It not only was a breach of standard ethics. It compromised his ability to deal with Chris Cuomo's ethical breach.
I've read a bunch of stories on this and I haven't seen anyone mention it.
6. Personally, I'd like to know what role, if any, Gollust had in influencing CNN's response to Chris Cuomo's conduct and if she had any discussions with Chris Cuomo or others in how Andrew Cuomo should respond to the allegations.
UPDATE: This is what Gollust wrote to Andrew Cuomo, when she resigned as his Communications Director in 2013 to join CNN: "Regardless of where I am employed, you will continue to have my unwavering allegiance as an adviser and, most importantly, a friend"
UPDATE: "[T]he timeline on Jeff Zucker and Allison Gollust’s coupledom is not only off by more than two decades, say sources who have worked with the pair — the CNN power couple also repeatedly lied about their relationship to their corporate bosses"
"The goal of the class is not to change minds, but to introduce students to critical race theory and how to apply it to the law, current events and issues in popular discourse, Murphree said. "
The Republican law student was dismayed that, as she was taking the course, Republican politicians in the state were trying to ban it.
Murphree read the bill in disbelief. “The party I associate with,” she concluded, “just doesn’t even know what the truth about this class is.”

1. On Monday, a 10,055 page PDF was quietly filed with the IRS
It revealed that some of the nation's most prominent corporations have sent large donations to the GOP group behind state abortion bans and voter suppression
2. The document was filed by the @RSLC, a GOP group that delivers "wins for Republican state legislators" by "targeting national resources to support state races"
It takes credit for the fact that the GOP controls "61 of 99 state legislative chambers"
