#DurhamRegion COVID-19 Wastewater Viral Signal
🧵THREAD 1/5🧵
*The lines on the chart indicate the statistically smoothed wastewater signal (gene copies/mL on log10 scale).
*The shaded area (blue) is the 7-day moving average of new reported COVID-19 cases by onset date.
This chart specifically represents the Bayly wastewater catchment area. Use the map above for geographical reference. I have highlighted this catchment area as it has seen a spike in detected gene copies of COVID-19.

Chart interpretations:
It is clearly noticeable in the Bayly chart, and the chart in the 1st tweet that the concentrations of COVID-19 in wastewater started to increase in November before we started to see exponential growth in our reported cases.

However, this is not the only place in Ontario that has experienced a sudden jump. The MOH in Peterborough @twpiggott says that the slight increase in viral load detection is due to students returning to in-person learning. 4/5
This data will be interesting to follow over the coming weeks as the government of Ontario has relaxed some of the restrictions.

#BradfordBypass thread 🧵 1/ Firstly, I want to thank everyone who followed me and shared my tweet from November 8th. The research I have done over the past couple of days has no ties to Nipissing University or any opinions about this project.
Sources are listed at the end.
2/ The objective of my research was to gather information about the Bradford Bypass project from the Environmental Assessment Report. I hope you enjoy it!
3/ In 1997, an Environmental Assessment Report (EAR) was completed which outlined the environmental assessment processes for the route selection and future commitments for the highway 400 – highway 404 link (Bradford Bypass).
