I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who had my back with Felton's sinister threatening, thank you to everyone who tweeted about his tweets to GMB Union. I had people offering legal advice, and even Index on Censorship offered help. There is a serious effort to
silence women who 'step out of line' by pointing out men's actions around 'trans rights'. Their aggressive push for this to the detriment of women has not gone unnoticed by many groups supporting human and equal rights. If Felton felt his multiple tweets to GMB in 2020 were being
misconstrued it would have been the ideal time following my tweet to explain his actions instead of claiming it was 'entirely untrue'. I deleted my original tweet and put up one saying he tweeted GMB in 2020 and agreed with a man calling me terf.
GMB's workshop would have helped tens of thousands of working mums in the height of a pandemic, the vast majority of them who do not use Mumsnet's feminism boards or have any political engagement on Mumsnet. They needed help and support. To decent people, a pandemic would be the
time to put aside political feelings about women's rights and Mumsnet and let those women access this help. It is a huge problem that orgs are kowtowing to social media pressure under the veil of 'transphobia' even though they know it is to the detriment of women. This is
something that needs to be addressed in parliament, and I urge you to write to your MP as I have done, there are many examples of this happening. Talk about the Streisand Effect, Felton's response has drawn much more attention to his 2020 tweets (which still remain up), alongside
additional tweets and DMs of his, including threatening me with a deadline to tweet his words or face consequences. I have had journalists in touch asking about this. I can see from the type of men who follow Felton and responded to his tweets about me (in droves) that they are
deeply misogynistic men. I've blocked as many as I can. They are simply not interested in women as humans or women's rights, which is very strange when they are so vocal about transwomen's rights and that 'transwomen are women'. 🤔
