MASSIVE fawning TRA Adam Buxton speaks to Helen Lewis this week, and admits him saying women should be kind in the gender ID debate (i.e the debate over how to define women and what rights they should have) is offensive to some (doesn't admit he's wrong to do it tho). In the podcast Helen says the culture is shifting, there used to be people setting out to attack views and then make sure that person is always labelled as transphobic or whatever. She's on Twitter less though 😂 Cultural criticism in the press was reduced to why everything is

Today I heard about a friend's sister who just started her teacher training course at a uni. Already they've had training on equality and diversity that got the Equality Act wrong, and were told to consider gender identity in every lesson plan in order to pass. @GillianKeegan They have been asked to think about inclusion in all lesson plans, but to focus on gender ID because this is 'the biggest problem in schools right now' and something new teachers can 'assert in teaching going forward'. My friend said her sis was so confused, and there were

Been temping this week in a big secondary school. Got some amazing staff room tea about a teacher who “came out” as non-binary last term. She wanted it announced in assembly so that no one ever called her she, but the Head told her that’s not necessary and she can just gently correct people as and when. So she made a big scene in a staff meeting and said she’d been called “miss” by pupils and this wouldn’t have happened if they’d done the assembly announcement. She said she was going to take action with her union. The Head was unfazed and said

A thread of schools who changed their house named after @jk_rowling to something else... just because she spoke up for the rights of women, children and gay people. This is thousands of children and their parents being told equality means putting men's identities above all else. @BoswellsSchool said JKR's views do not align with their policies and beliefs. Must be great being a female student there 🙄 They renamed the house after Kelly Holmes, who at the time was sharing the exact same pro-women stance as JKR on Twitter.

I fell into a Reddit hole about munchausen's syndrome, and it illuminated something about transgenderism. There was a bit of plot in the otherwise brilliant Norwegian film Sick Of Myself that I didn't get, so I sought answers, and ended up on a Reddit section called faked illness Image Sick Of Myself is a very dark comedy about a young woman who makes herself deformed and ill just to get attention, and so this film was of interest to the people in that particular corner of the internet. I was gobsmacked to read people's experiences as nurses and counsellors how

A teacher friend told me a boy at her school is no longer trans, it happened shortly after xmas break when he met his first serious boyfriend. The boy is now 18 and in his final year, his boyf is two years older and told him he doesn't mind femme boys but does not want to pretend his partner is female. My friend said she's glad he's finally happy, but feels exhausted after the past 5 years and what he's put the school through. It started in Year 8, he was getting bullied for being gay. He only hung around with girls and would sometimes be found

More Emma Barnett on #bbcwomanshour tackling women's sex-based rights. Today she's talking to @RosieDuffield1, kicks off by asking her why women attending the lunch shared the images. What's the message of sending that? Rosie says she was hesitant because of the abuse, but the attitude was 'sod it'. Emma said did you decide as a group to share images. Why shouldn't we, says Rosie. She says as politicians we assume we will get any abuse. She says journalists called all day about why they were having lunch. Emma says JKR has taken a stand on this

Why the hell does @BBCWomansHour keep getting these misogynists pricks to talk about WOMEN'S RIGHTS? This man told women he all hoped they die in a grease fire. He's out of shape, 40+ and can still beat women easily. A woman he beat said it wasn't fair and he reported her. 👆You need to get experts on if men at all. Talk to women about something they fought hard to get in the first place. Enough with humiliating women like this on their own show about their own sport @EmmaSPearce @Dianne_McGregor @LucindaSMontefi @LaScrawl @alicart @Emmabarnett

It's the last day of #WomensHistoryMonth and here's some wise words from the founder of modern feminism. Just keep quiet, ladies, turn the heat right down in your chatter about your rights. #WomenWontWeesht #sexmatters Image #SaveWomensSports #WomensHistoryMonth

Last night I chatted with a social science department leader at one of London's oldest unis. He is exasperated because he says a small group of students run things, they call everything racist or transphobic, they pick apart everything before it can be taught to them. He has had students coming up to him to say they're not enjoying the classes because they're afraid to say anything in case the 'others' call them bigots. It has made some staff totally silent in fear for their jobs, several have had formal 'investigations' for saying something harmless

In honour of #WomensHistoryMonth here's some female sporting heroes who challenged the male domination of sport, making way for women to have their own competitive sports, and to make playing sport and publicly exercising socially acceptable for women. #twitterhistorians #IWD Katherine Switzer (pic above) is the first woman to run the Boston Marathon. Since the marathon began in 1897 only men were allowed to enter. In 1967 Katherine was officially registered to run, but during the race, the manager ran after her and tried to grab her bib from her to

Happy #WomensHistoryMonth Throughout history women have cross-dressed for a number of reasons, none of them to be 'trans' or 'non-binary' despite what some nefarious 'LGBT historians' will tell you. Here's some of them. #twitterhistorians Kit Cavanagh (1667-1739). Irishwoman Kit inherited a pub in her teens, and ran it with her husband (with whom she had two children). At the age of 26 she was pregnant with her third when her husband suddenly went missing. It was rumoured he'd been forced in to the British army Image

The Future of Legal Gender project was given £579,717 of taxpayers money to 'prove' sex doesn't matter. The project draws to a close this year and there's a public online event this month to hear their 'findings'. If you can't wait, here's what they'll be using to advise govt They found girls schools and services for women already 'frequently' include males, and this isn't a problem because, dur... these males have obviously become female. Wtf does non-binary inclusion mean... who knows.

So, ever since @lborouniversity said f**k you to their disabled students/staff and put up a rainbow crossing, some PhD students there in our UK-uni equality group have been filling us in on talks they have coming up. Here's their amazing 'research'. 👆 These students are so embarrassed to be part of this university, and only stay because they get funding. One of them is physically disabled and so hurt and humiliated by what happened. @LboroVC @CharlieWLboro

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who had my back with Felton's sinister threatening, thank you to everyone who tweeted about his tweets to GMB Union. I had people offering legal advice, and even Index on Censorship offered help. There is a serious effort to silence women who 'step out of line' by pointing out men's actions around 'trans rights'. Their aggressive push for this to the detriment of women has not gone unnoticed by many groups supporting human and equal rights. If Felton felt his multiple tweets to GMB in 2020 were being

I'd like to apologise to @JimMFelton. Today I tweeted that in 2020 he made a union cancel a workshop that would have helped thousands of working mums who were suffering in the pandemic. There's no evidence he personally got the workshop cancelled, all he did was tweet the union tweets from men who strongly objected to the workshop taking place and voiced his own concerns to them. These men held the belief Mumsnet is a 'transphobic' site. @JimMFelton called me a slur a UK judge has said is used to demean women, but I will not hold this against him. ImageImageImage
