Not everyone has the luxury of changing their lifestyle either. Remember that many people have health issues as well.
The advice on nutrition relating to acne is soooo vague when it’s a very personal issue
Tw// eating disorders
I do think it can be helpful to have a good journal to track the correlation between food + your skin if you don’t have access to allergy tests. One of my clients realized red meat triggered their eczema this way
But even this can lead to ED so idk 😭
I would rather have a few breakouts than refuse to eat ice cream for the rest of my life in order to have clear skin
My philosophy is just to focus on using skincare and ENJOY food unless a doctor has confirmed that it is harmful to you!

Just did a full routine for the first time using SKN by LH and I'm not mad at it! (Don't worry i filmed it)
The Goji Berry Cleanser is a really nice gel cleanser. It doesn't foam up too much which I don't mind. It removed my concealer really easily and my skin didn't feel super dry after. Little to no fragrant smell either
I would give it a 10/10 for my first impression
My favorite product I think is the white tea toner. The mist is AWESOME. Super hydrating and made my skin GLOW. Little to no fragrant smell
Its basically a rose water toner with niacinamide, fruit extract, aloe, sodium PCA, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, panthenol and white tea
- Contains kojic acid, azelaic acid, Niacinamide, tranexamic acid & alpha arbutin
- Targets multiple pathways involved in melanogenesis
- Black owned (hey girl! @OlamideAOlowe)
- Can be used daily over time
Enlighten Peel by Reve Skin
- Contains 8% Hydroquinone, Vitamin C, Kojic Acid, Arbutin & Niacinamide to target pigment
- High % of retinol & salicylic acid to exfoliate
thread of my favorite skin products of 2020. things I’ve liked for me + my clients 🤩
faded by @topicals - one of the BEST serums for hyperpigmentation (acne marks/melasma/sun spots). it uses a blend of ingredients that effect different pathways in melanin formation to target hyperpigmentation. i recommend using it as a spot treatment with a q-tip
I recommend using it as a q-tip on your dark spots because if you dry yourself out with overuse (some of the ingredients do exfoliate), it’ll only be in the spots vs. all over. You also save on product
