Please get blood work, allergy tests and speak to your GP before changing your diet for the sake of “clear skin”

Eating celery + drinking a gallon of water to clear acne is not that simple for everyone
Not everyone has the luxury of changing their lifestyle either. Remember that many people have health issues as well.
The advice on nutrition relating to acne is soooo vague when it’s a very personal issue
Tw// eating disorders

I do think it can be helpful to have a good journal to track the correlation between food + your skin if you don’t have access to allergy tests. One of my clients realized red meat triggered their eczema this way

But even this can lead to ED so idk 😭
I would rather have a few breakouts than refuse to eat ice cream for the rest of my life in order to have clear skin
My philosophy is just to focus on using skincare and ENJOY food unless a doctor has confirmed that it is harmful to you!

Telling teenagers going through puberty that their acne is because of eating junk food is so 😵‍💫
Your body is changing. Hormones are flying. It’s normal 😭
The issue with using anecdotal evidence for acne & food is that 1) you’re using yourself as a single data point 2) there are SO many variables.

Did you also change your products the same time as you changed your food? Is it possible your body also grew out of it at that time?

Just did a full routine for the first time using SKN by LH and I'm not mad at it! (Don't worry i filmed it)
The Goji Berry Cleanser is a really nice gel cleanser. It doesn't foam up too much which I don't mind. It removed my concealer really easily and my skin didn't feel super dry after. Little to no fragrant smell either

I would give it a 10/10 for my first impression
My favorite product I think is the white tea toner. The mist is AWESOME. Super hydrating and made my skin GLOW. Little to no fragrant smell

Its basically a rose water toner with niacinamide, fruit extract, aloe, sodium PCA, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, panthenol and white tea

If you’re interested in K-Beauty…

You can use code TIARAxSG25 to get 25% off @sokoglam for the rest of JANUARY!

Here’s what I recommended getting:
One of the FEW Mineral sunscreen I stand by is the Suntique I’m Safe for Sensitive Skin. It’s titanium dioxide based. No zinc.

The cast is very minimal. It also has calming ingredients like centella asiatica and aloe leaf extracts. ImageImage
Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Advance Serum

It has licorice, glutathione and niacinamide to even out pigmentation in the skin to help acne scars and dark spots fade over time.

It also has Pycnogenol to draw in hydration and minimize fine lines ImageImage

thread of my favorite skin products of 2020. things I’ve liked for me + my clients 🤩
faded by @topicals - one of the BEST serums for hyperpigmentation (acne marks/melasma/sun spots). it uses a blend of ingredients that effect different pathways in melanin formation to target hyperpigmentation. i recommend using it as a spot treatment with a q-tip ImageImage
I recommend using it as a q-tip on your dark spots because if you dry yourself out with overuse (some of the ingredients do exfoliate), it’ll only be in the spots vs. all over. You also save on product
