1/ Since you asked, and I love your work, I'll tell you.
This is a professional political attack. Three waves one right after the other is not a coincidence. Good spacing, good timing, so it's absolutely professional.
2/ The video compilation of Rogan saying the n-word was dropped by @patriottakes 6 days ago. You see the video in the tweet in pic 1, and patriottakes takes credit for "republishing" the information in pic 2.
That they take credit is important and you'll see why shortly...
Well, they are a professional political organization. In fact, they are a Democrat "Super PAC" (more on that in a moment) run by 3 brothers
4/ Ben, Brett, and Jordan Meisales.
All of them have worked in media and have expertise in understanding and manipulating Media.
The most important thing for us is that Brett was a social media manager for Ellen Degeneres, and is an expert editor. Which matter because...
6/ @patriottakes works with @MeidasTouch, and I'd say it's a safe bet that given their expertise in social media management that the n-word video was created by Meidastouch.
BUT WE ARE NOT DONE.
MeidasTouch is a Super PAC.
Well, what's a super PAC you ask?
Well....
7/ A Super PAC is political advocacy group with a special twist: "super PACs may raise unlimited sums of money from corporations, unions, associations and individuals, then spend unlimited sums to overtly advocate for or against political candidates." (opensecrets.org)
8/ This means that a Super PAC can take in unlimited amounts of money, and then spend however they want politically.
Meidastouch is a SuperPAC. They can take in as much cash as theg want. 4.7 million for the 2020 cycle and 1.5 Million for the 2022 cycle to be exact.
Now....
9/ To recap: Meidastouch, a SuperPAC which can collect as much cash as it wants from pretty well anywhere, and is a professional strategy and media firm run by people with deep ties in entertainment, likely had a hand in the n-word video @patriottakes used to attack Joe Rogan...
10/ So the question is....why?
Why are they doing this, and what do they have to gain?
I think a clue can be found in the letter @patriottakes wrote about all of this.
Look at that highlighted part. What does that tell you??? What does that look like to you????
11/ Patriottakes is bragging about their millions of views and how they made the video the center of the national conversation.
They are bragging about their CLOUT
Rogan is the one guy the leftists can't cancel. If a group could cancel Rogan it would be a MASSIVE show of power
12/ Woke people and legacy media groups have been trying to cancel Rogan for ages because he steals their audience and doesn't play by their rules.
Rogan also offers his enormous platform to people like Jordan Peterson that woke progressives in media circles really don't like...
13/ The group that takes out Rogan would gain a lot of clout and a **lot** of power.
The group that can say "we cancelled Rogan. If we can get him, we can get you too," would be able to swing a very large stick.
And that's what this is ultimately about, it's a play for power.
14/ In short, Meidastouch is a political SuperPAC that is very likely behind the @patriottakes account. They're attempting a viral hit on Joe Rogan so they can take him out both because they don't like him and because they want monetizeable clout for having done so...
If every person who Joe helped lut said "we are with him and we will tell our audiences to cancel spotify if they cancel Joe" this would be over in a day.
The next thing...
16/ If everyone won't stand up, we need brave leople to lead organic pushback.
@BretWeinstein has been doing this with his "thanks Joe Rogan" hashtage
17/ It needs to be made clear to slotify that if they cave they will pay a significant cost.
We have to make that clear.
They need to pay a cost for this.
If we can do those things I think we can protect a guy who has done so much for so many.
/fin
PS/
Just in case anyone still thinks the attack on Rogan was organic, we have pre-made scripts out there about cancelling Rogan, and they're the same word for word. That ain't organic 👇👇👇
PPS/
Meidastouch absolutely advises and works with Patriottakes, and by their own admission meidastouch helps patriottakes with strategy, building and boosting their fundraising profile.
This is all professional, and so was the hit on Rogan.

The NYT says the search of Mar-a-Lago was about possible classified documents.
I don't know the law here; but, since institutional trust is at an all-time low, if the FBI screwed up here what's left of that trust will be completely gone.
And that is a very scary thing...
We are already pushing institutional trust to the brink. We can't keep doing this. If this turns out to be a minor violation of a records keeping code, or some other technicality, the FBI will have totally obliterated its credibility.
Trump left office in 2021, how is it that...
the FBI is doing a search for those documents now?
What happened that made them say "ok, it's been 20 months, time to search for the Docs"? What makes the FBI so sure that after 20 months the docs still exist?
There are a lot of questions here that really need answering.
1/ My friend James Lindsay was permanently banned from twitter today.
An activist weaponized the rules by filing reports until something stuck.
We need to talk about why they went after James specifically.
A thread🧵
2/ @ConceptualJames is in many ways the intellectual lighthouse, compass, and anchor of the counter-woke movement.
He dug up all the academic work that underpinned the wokeness we now see, and exposed the fact that academia had been hijaked in the service of a political agenda.
3/ James, @peterboghossian, and Helen Pluckrose got absurd papers published in prestigious academic journals by using woke reasoning to come to conclusions that flattered the ideological biases of woke academics.
Below, James describes how absurd the papers they published were👇
1/ One way the woke try to take over society is by using social pressure. They publicly call-out and attack people to make them feel like society is rejecting them.
See the photo below? They want people feel like all of society is doing that to them.
So, "Call-outs"
A Thread🧵
2/ Call-Outs are not the same as cancel culture (but they can be related).
Cancel culture is when people try to get someone fired or de-platformed in order to punish them what they said. Cancel culture is about punishing people economically and professionally to silence them.
3/ Call-outs on the other hand operate using a very different set of mechanisms: social pressure, the sense of hyper-visibility we feel when we are humiliated in public, and fear of large scale social rejection.
2/ When Republicans put Amy Coney-Barret on the Supreme court the left chaged the meaning of "court-packing" and dictionary .com went along with it.
3/ Speaking of Amy Coney-Barret...
When Amy Coney-Barret used the term "preference" wbile discussing sexual orientation the left pretended that "preference" was offensive, and Merriam-Webster changed the definition in order to make that lie stick👇
"At the same time, however, the relationship to the world that modern science fostered and shaped now appears to have exhausted its potential. It is increasingly clear that, strangely, the relationship is missing something. Itfails to connect with the most intrinsic nature of..."

The inability of nearly everyone in elite/respectable/mainstream institutions to understand the appeal of @jordanbpeterson is a symptom of the very deficiency within those institutions that created the void that Jordan Peterson is stepping into...
2/ This reminds me of the conservative discussion about Lena Dunham during mid 2000's - 2010's.
Many people tried to half heartedly explain the appeal of Lena Dunham by saying "she's a flash in the pan" or "liberals are stupid" or "she's popular because of clever marketing"
3/ All that was wrong.
Lena Dunham was popular because an audience shared her ideas and worldview, and her show gave voice to and was an expression of the anxieties of young, secular, educated, liberal, soon to be professional managerial and creative class Millenial women.
