I’ve heard Kenney use this jargon frequently. “Personal Responsibility” is his favourite phrase.

I’m writing this thread for the Canadian medical professionals who have cared for us during the pandemic. Thank you for everything you’ve done to help all citizens.

But the belief police are “allowing” truckers to block streets and borders is disinformation & gaslighting.
While you’ve been dedicated to saving lives and easing the suffering of those who don’t make it, much has been happening across the globe.

You probably aren’t entirely aware of the events and what they mean, but that’s completely understandable since your plates are overfilled.
So please allow me to fill you in with what is going on and why. Because tweeting disinformation and the gaslighting efforts of the far right and radical left is only going to confuse people and raise the level of frustration. And that is an current national security risk.

We give these people legitimacy by not challenging their extremist beliefs. By accepting far right ideology as legitimate and acceptable for a pluralist social democracy, we make it an available option.
@leftmindset @albertaNDP We must remove that option. Some people believe in anarchy, communism, fascism. But as a society we reject those options because they are inconsistent with democratic principles.

Authoritarian theocracy is incompatible with democratic governance.

But that’s what is happening. Libertarians have rejected democracy, the social contract, pluralism, humanism, secularism and liberalism.

When will Albertans wise up?

Clinging to the false narrative and belief that this is about freedom and liberty and is just a rowdy protest, they’ve convinced themselves (with much SM help) that police should have had this shut down in a day.
Completely ignoring details that demonstrate this is not a protest but a well planned coordinated attack on democracy. Sanctioned by Kenney and UCP and federal conservative MPs.

They’re listening to the gaslighting of trolls and bots.
Their tunnel vision precludes them from considering anything they can’t see through the end of the tunnel.

Frankly I’m sick of it and it needs to be called out!

People, open your eyes & remove the tunnel vision. Look beyond the end of your nose, for once.

Wow! Explosive revelations about Ottawa Police Chief Sloly.

But it only proves he leans right. It doesn’t connect him to the current melee directly. This isn’t confirmation he’s working for cons.
And it doesn’t negate the fact this is an occupation by terrorists and enemies of the state funded heavily by foreign anonymous donors.

It’s an act of war. Sloly is correct that municipal law enforcement isn’t equipped to address an army of terrorists.
You need actual evidence before making an accusation.

If Sloly is complicit, he will be removed and replaced. If he is innocent and just a disillusioned conservative voter, he won’t be removed.

Trial and conviction by SM knee jerk emotional reactions are unhelpful.

I wrote this thread the day after the last federal election.

I was angry. And scared. I knew a minority government was less equipped to address the expected insurrection and attempt at a coup. I knew a coup was being planned since 2019.

It makes me angry to read again now.
The progressive left is almost as culpable as the far right.

Libertarianism is a cancer that needs to be destroyed.

There is no freedom in anarchy. Only chaos.

Singh is aghast at the chaos he’s unleashed by his use of demagogic populism.
Yet he continues to use smears and targeted disinformation to advance his popularity. In the midst of a domestic terrorist threat.
