The city has released body camera footage from yesterday's police killing of #AmirLocke during a no-knock warrant. Video shows police entering & kicking a couch that Locke was sleeping on. Locke rolled over & grabbed a gun & was killed. [CONTENT WARNING]
The video released tonight by the city of Minneapolis has been processed to blur the faces of MPD officers. It shows the killing of #AmirLocke from one angle among several that should exist if the body cameras were all working correctly.
In #AmirLocke's last moments he was bundled in a blanked on the couch - another MPD officer to the immediate right and one in the kitchen may reveal different details if their body cameras were active.

NEW: A man named by the cmty as Amir Locke was killed by MPD serving a warrant on Feb 2. Police say they killed him b/c he was armed. His family says he wasn't named on warrant, that he had a permit to carry & was startled by the pre-dawn police intrusion.

A Minneapolis Police intelligence presentation on 'Political Extremists - Antifa/Boogaloo' lists 14 'antifa' Twitter accounts officers are encouraged to surveil - including activists never arrested or charged w crimes.

No 'Boogaloo' accounts are listed.

The MPD presentation seems to downplay the nature of the threat posed by Boogaloo adherents, describing the generally far-right and white supremacist movement as apolitical.

It also falsely claims that 'antifa' has a national headquarters and an official accreditation process.
MPD's Twitter account has previously retweeted Project Veritas' false claims about Rep. Ilhan Omar committing election fraud.

This presentation suggests officers continue to use their official powers to exert political influences beyond their conventional crime fighting duties.

In an unprecedented move, the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice has ruled to suspend the medical license of Dr. Todd Leonard & fine him $30K after investigations into in-custody deaths. Leonard owns MEnD Correctional Care that provides medical care to dozens of Minnesota jails.
