The award is announced on the 23rd January, each year, on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose: MoS Home Nityanand Rai to Rajya Sabha

EAM Dr S Jaishankar will be paying an official visit to Australia on 10-13 Feb at the invitation of his Australian counterpart Marise Payne. It'll be his first visit as EAM to Australia.
It would be the first high level visit to Australia from India after the opening of its borders which were closed following the outbreak of the #COVID19 pandemic.
EAM will participate in the 4th Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on 11 Feb in Melbourne, along with the Foreign Ministers of Australia, Japan & the United States. EAM and Australian Foreign Minister will co-chair the 12th Foreign Ministers’ Framework Dialogue on 12 February 2022.

Teams of the Indian Army have undertaken a rescue operation to extricate a person stuck in a steep gorge in Malampuzha mountains, Palakkad Kerala. Teams have been mobilised overnight and rescue operations are under progress: Indian Army
For the Op Palakkad, two Army teams have been moved on requisition from State Govr. One team of 12 personnel from Madras Regiment Centre, Wellington, consisting of mountain qualified personnel with specialist equipment reached by road at location at 1:30 am today: Army Sources
Second team of 22 personnel from Parachute Regiment centre, Bengaluru, moved by aircraft to Sulur and reached the rescue location by 4 AM today: Army Sources
