Fr. Karel San Juan, Advocacy chairman of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines: Our statement is about principles that we want to guide our voters, especially our Catholic school community, to vote according to values like truth

CEAP: We are not naming names, but we have named particular trend that we are seeing in social media now that packaging of a significant historical milestone like the Marcos dictatorship and regime as a golden age

CEAP: We are not talking about candidates, but what we are talking about is the current phenomenon sweeping social media that is affecting our voting population, especially the youth, to the point of deception and lies. We want to correct that

CEAP: Eventually down the line… we want to have a dialogue with them (candidates)… to present what we stand for

CEAP says what they are promoting is voting "according conscience, discernment, and values,” which we often forget these days

CEAP: We want to encourage… our school communities sooner or later make a concrete discernment on very important historical events like the national elections in May

CEAP on the separation of Church and State: We safe guard religious liberty. Every one has a right to believe in God, or not to believe in God… that is the constitutional interpretation of that provision. It doesn't mean that the Church cannot be involved in politics
