Hey friends, just back from another suspension. As I've been documenting for some time now, @Twitter is targeting me because I'm an effective conservative journalist who frequently undermines political causes their far-left staff is endeavoring to advance. 1/
Despite having never broken any rules, @Twitter has now suspended me four separate times. Allow me to quickly recap: /2
1) In 2021, I attacked @AndrewCuomo for withholding vaccines for NYC seniors as part of his catfight w/ De Blasio. Twitter suspended me for "abuse and harassment," as apparently it's against the rules to critique their favorite predators, err politicians!
2) Later that year, Twitter suspended me for a week after I made an innocuous joke at Andy Slavitt's expense. Again, I was reprimanded for "abuse and harassment," even though in this case Slavitt said he didn't see anything wrong w/ my tweet
3) Soon thereafter, I was put back in the penalty box, this time for circulating CDC information and advancing the (usually progressive) argument "my body, my choice." (By doing so, Twitter claimed I violated their "Covid misinformation" policy). /5 thefederalist.com/2021/12/03/my-…
4) Earlier today, Twitter suspended me for a tweet from last March. In this case, I was criticizing a blatantly racist tweet from @TheRoot. I appealed, noting I'm actually calling out hateful content through this thing Twitter's humorless scolds don't understand called sarcasm /6
Twitter has just informed me that my appeal was rejected. Unsurprisingly The Root's actually racist & abusive tweet remains up. /7
As you can see, in all four cases, I was doing the opposite of what Twitter claimed.
Again, it's impossible to interpret the above as anything other than targeted censorship of a journalist (and I'm hardly the only conservative communicator they're trying to take out). /8
All of their protestations about "misinformation" notwithstanding, Twitter's main commodity these days is dishonesty in service of nudging progressives onward to victory in the culture wars. /9
In fact, to this day I've yet to see a progressive account complain about being wrongly suspended. /10
Nor have I seen progressive accounts be suspended even after blatantly lying & stirring up racial conflict: /11
MSNBC’s @NicolleDWallace, yesterday: "Tragically anti-mask insanity has now reached the highest court in the land.”
"Nina Totenberg .. really is a true insider, well-sourced on the Court"
@NicolleDWallace Morning Joe’s @morningmika: "Chief Justice John Roberts asked the other justices to mask up. They all did, except for Gorsuch."
@NicolleDWallace@morningmika CNN’s @donlemon: "Sources say Justice Sotomayor is concerned about Covid because she suffers from diabetes and underlying health conditions."
As you can see, it would make no sense to prevent the media from reporting on claims politicians make about Covid — whether true or false. Under your standard, CNN, for example, would have been suspended for reporting on Trump saying bleach might be a possible Covid antidote.
I’ve just read the full indictment of the Oath Keepers’ founder on “seditious conspiracy” and there’s no way they’re going to convict. At no point do they ever explain the “seditious conspiracy.” The indictment merely shows they planned to go to D.C. to protest & cause trouble.
The lack of evidence likely explains why it’s taken more than a year before filing charges. You’ll also see the FBI leans heavily on editorializing throughout the indictment, and offers random, unrelated commentary — like this line about the “thousands of dollars” of damage.
Having apparently taken defendants' phones, the indictment reads like a synopsis of everything they texted each other in the weeks between the election and Biden’s inauguration … such as this random joke about staying at a Holiday Inn
