It formally asks for an injunction "restraining and enjoining the defendants and any person having notice of the Order from impeding or blocking access to and from the Ambassador bridge."
Grounds cited include irreparable harm and the breaching of various City of Windsor bylaws.
In it, he says the blockade is costing $50 billion dollars per day, being felt by Canadian/Ontario/Windsor companies, and has already resulted in shutdowns and partial layoffs of companies the association represents.
"The APMA submits that it clearly has an arguable case against the Respondents in public nuisance, in that the Respondents' conduct has caused special damage in the approximate sum of $600 Million to the automotive industry in Canada."
Deputy Chief of Police Jason Bellaire has also submitted an affidavit expressing his belief that protesters are in violation of a number of Criminal Code of Canada sections.
