1/15 ๐Ÿงต How To Make It as an #NFTartist
A guide for artists starting out ๐Ÿ‘‡
2/15 Create quality art.
It might not always seem this way but the better your art is, the more people will like it.
Practice and improve your artistic skills alongside everything else. This is your no.1 priority.
3/15 I know low effort art sometimes sells in this space but that's the exception not the rule. If you want to be successful your best chance is to create good art. Even if you suck at promoting it, I believe you will be successful in the long run if you create quality work.
4/15 Support other artists!
Retweets, comments & likes help artists gain visibility. It also helps you be accepted in the community.
If you're still unknown or your art is not that great yet, being nice to others is the best quality to have.
5/15 Create valuable content.
Ask not what others can do for you but what you can do for others.
Why should people follow you? Encouraging others, inspiring others, sharing your knowledge, anything goes as long as it adds value to people's feeds.
6/15 Be nice - negativity reflects on those who surround themselves with it. Better to avoid drama. That doesn't mean not to stand by your principles but do it in a calm, respectful manner.
7/15 Don't be entitled! Collectors don't owe you anything, other artists don't owe you anything!
Selling your art and being an artist is a privilege not a right. Count your blessings and stay humble.
8/15 If people don't like your art they're not bad people for not liking it. Everyone has preferences or maybe your art is not that good yet. Don't be offended. Learn, adapt, repeat. Practice and evolve.
9/15 Don't ask collectors to buy your work. Don't ask artists for retweets if you're not friends and haven't talked before. Being so forward and entitled will not make a good impression on people.
10/15 You know when you're minding your own business and someone comes to you trying to sell you something? What's your reaction? I bet you don't enjoy it. That's how collectors feel too.
11/15 Art is a luxury good. You don't buy a luxury good from a desperate, needy person. Don't ask for charity. Even if you're a poor artist you should always be dignified. Let collectors come to you.
12/15 Is just showing your art to collectors ok?
That's up to each person's preferences. Some don't mind it, some do, but never ask them to buy your work, that's a turn-off for everybody.
13/15 Don't criticize collectors for their taste. Don't be judgmental to what people like. If it's nudity or Pepes or sex or whatever you think collectors shouldn't like, keep that to yourself. They have the right to buy and like whatever they want.
14/15 This thread is all about being a good artist and a nice human being. It works both for marketing and real life. The premise is simple: don't do to others what you don't like, and do more of what you do like.
15/15 If you create good art, if you're a supportive member of the community, if you're respectful and humble and a nice human being I believe you've got the best chance for success. Good luck! ๐Ÿ’œ

1/๐Ÿงต How to market yourself.
The basics. A guide for new #NFTartists
This is the first thread of a series I plan to post, going from the basics to the more complex aspects of marketing.
2/ Twitter bio & pictures.
Extremely important!
When someone visits your profile you've got ~3 seconds to convince them to give you a follow. Make it clear who you are and what you do.
3/ A picture of yourself will make you more relatable. People like being able to put a face on your name and know who they're talking to. If you wanna stay anonymous your art works too.

1/ My year in #NFTs. What I've learned. ๐Ÿค“
A thread ๐Ÿงต
I want to share with you my journey, the good, the bad and the incredible. Hope it will inspire you and convince you to keep going even when times are rough.
2/ I first heard about #NFTs in January and sold my first piece in March. I went from being a nobody to feeling that I matter and it's all because of this amazing community.
3/ It's sad to see that outsiders think #NFTs are sexist, empty, hateful or a scam. I've met the kindest, most generous people here - people that have supported and believed in me even though they had just met me and had no interest to do so.
