The Dept of Justice officially came into being in 1870. Amongst its missions was to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic.

The DOJ is acting like it’s still 1870 and that’s part of the reason it’s failing in securing the US from foreign or domestic threats.
In our current climate, PR is half the battle. By not prosecuting small crimes (& we’re certainly not seeing the big ones) public perception is that we’re not secure. And not just within the US, we also project that image overseas. A quiet DOJ hurts the US & makes us less secure.
Yes, Justice takes time but if they spend YEARS just trying to build big cases they’re hurting us. There’s plenty of low hanging fruit that Garland could deliver. With a team of 113,000+ & a yearly budget of $28B he has the resources to have a dedicated team delivering small wins
The absence of even small wins is worrying to many of us. It’s 2022 they can’t just sit quietly, deliver few results, make no noise & Americans will feel safe. That may have worked in 1870 but it doesn’t work today, especially after Jan 6th & with Trump & the GOP running amok.
Garland needs to step up because currently his Dept of Justice is giving the impression that there’s an ABSENCE OF JUSTICE in America. And that’s dangerous. We can’t just have blind faith that this is all part of a bigger plan, we need to start seeing justice delivered en masse.

Shiva Bagheri seems to be a full-time agitator & an MTG in the making. Her timeline illustrates how we embolden these agitators through the gross lack of accountability & consequences.

She assaults cancer patients & harasses children & barely gets a slap on the wrist.

THREAD👇
Shiva is the Anti-Masker seen on video Oct 6th harassing a mother & child. She was also seen in July assaulting a breast cancer patient. And in January InsideEdition had to cut off an interview as she was so unhinged.
Bagheri barely got a slap on the wrist from the city...
In July the city came to a decision on the 3 different misdemeanors Bagheri faced. Each charge carried fines up to $3,500 or 6 months in jail. But she got 20 hours community service & 6-months probation which she appears to have already broken when she harassed the mother & child

#AuditKentucky

In Elliott County KY

👉There are 4.5x more registered Dems than GOP
👉In 2019 Elliott County voted in a Dem as Governor
👉Historically, Elliott County NEVER voted for McConnell

But in Elliott we’re supposed to believe Mitch got TWICE as many votes as McGrath🤔
In Wolfe County KY

👉There are 4.5x more registered Dems then GOP
👉In 2019 Wolfe County voted in a Dem as Governor
👉Historically, Wolfe County NEVER voted for McConnell

But in Wolfe Mitch supposedly got TWICE as many votes as McGrath in 2020🤔

Why aren’t we auditing Kentucky
In Breathitt County KY

👉There are 6x more registered Dems then GOP
👉In 2019 Breathitt voted in a Dem as Governor

But we’re supposed to believe that in 2020 Mitch beat McGrath 2-1🤔

Elliott, Wolfe & Breathitt all got new ES&S voting machines in 2020. Why don’t we audit them?

In 2018 Sen Menendez introduced an election security bill that included conducting post-election risk limiting audits & cyber security standards

McConnell didn’t put it to a vote😡

I want HR1 but let’s not put all our eggs in an HR1 basket.

Put all these past bills to a vote
In 2017 Sen Gillibrand first introduced the Voter Empowerment Act. It included online voter registration & it required states to audit federal election results.

Mitch McConnell killed it & refused to bring it to a vote😡

It was reintroduced in 2021. Let’s bring it to the floor.
In 2019 Sen Klobucher introduced the SAFE act requiring voter verified paper ballots, establishing increased cyber security & risk limiting audits

Of course Mitch McConnell wouldn’t let it go to the floor😡

Let’s put it to a vote now

Get Manchin, Sinema & the GOP on the record

One of my friends is Greek & growing up she was embarrassed her school lunches were different.

On Top Chef a Japanese-American chef said he was embarrassed growing up by his different lunchboxes.

This would be such a great way to embrace diversity. Cultural school lunches🤔
Restaurants are struggling. Schools could partner with local restaurants to introduce a rotation of different cultural foods.

We have an opportunity here. Food's so representative of cultures. Embrace it. Introduce it through the schools to help promote inclusiveness for all.
Young minds can be open minds. Growing up I was never exposed to international cuisine but a girl in my class was Indian & I went to her birthday party at her family restaurant. I never forgot having the yummiest bread ever. It was so different but I loved it.

Unity starts young

In a recent thread I looked at Kentucky's election results, South Carolina's results & a takeaway from Georgia (see link at end)

In putting together the thread I was surrounded by spreadsheets & some data should've made it in but didn't.

To further clarify here's an update👇
I mentioned Lindsey Graham doubling his 2014 votes from 2020 but I didn't explain that I wasn't simply considering his results alone. I was comparing the % that Lindsey increased his votes vs OTHER incumbent GOP Senators who also ran in both 2014 & 2020.

Here's the data👇
As you can see Lindsey increased the % of votes he received by 103%
I found it surprising considering

Mitch had a resounding win but only increased the % of votes he received by 53%

And Susan Collins only increased her votes by 1%🤔

Not to mention, Texas had an 108% increase🤯
