1. One upcoming (and important) feature which is often overlooked and expected to be released sometime in Q1 2022 is the cBridge fee sharing with @CelerNetwork's State Guardian Network (SGN).
2. Current APY for SGN based on information shared in their telegram group currently hovers at about 11% and is paid from the Reward tokens allocated.
The APY on SGN is designed to reduce as more users stake and secure the network over time.
3. The previous point is critical because as more users stake and rewards decrease, it is critical for the project to create alternative streams to ensure staking on SGN remains feasible.
This is incentivized through the increased earning value for users to commit their tokens.
4. The decrease in SGN rewards is planned to coincide with the introduction of fee distribution to validators and users staked through the release of products.
5. At cBridge's current volume of $3,405,788,935 and taking into account the lowest fee charged at 0.04% it equals $1,362,315.57 which if taken on average since the bridge was first launched in July 2021 is an average of $209,587.01 per month.
6. But this is not an accurate reflection. If we take the average from the time of cBridge v2.0 launch the number increases to an average of $454,109.19
7. However... the upside contribution to SGN is not yet known. The interesting thing about this update is those staked on @CelerNetwork's SGN will earn the fees according to the tokens used to pay the bridge fees.
8. This essentially means that as a staker on SGN, you would earn a basket of tokens ranging from $ETH, $USDT, $USDC, $FRAX, $METIS and more just by staking your $CELR.
9. And considering that other than the stablecoins, others have the potential of increasing in value over time, the actual realized APY from cBridge staking would then very much be dependent on when users sell their earnings.
10. Eventhough cBridge is currently the underdog against #MultiChain's bridge and planned token staking. I still firmly believe the team and the project will close the lead and surpass them over time.
Just like how David defeated Goliath.
