Why no special election for this (probably)? Bc they cost more than just putting a question on the regular ballot, and turnout is WAY lower. Bad for democracy.

No support for that, so November ballot question on this is the way we're going.
I believe the ballot language itself was set by the referendum petition. So not much for council to do here.
They'll set the formal ballot language in August.
And by "set" I mean formally approve. They may have some say in the ballot *title* — Friend asking about that now.
