1. Your article and that debate on Timesnow (on which I wrote a thread earlier) are very accurate.. Simple fact that you state.. Hindu concerns should not be linked to BJP or RSS.. Thats a mere statement of fact.. But you overlook an imp issue..

2. In marketing.. there is an important concept called "Positioning".. Positioning is NOT what you think the product is but what the "mass of customers" have perceived you to be.. PERCEPTION works more than REALITY in marketing & in politics.. @jsaideepak

3. Marketers start with "Positioning" their product in the minds of prospects.. sometimes they succeed, sometimes fail.. For eg: Commies have long succeeded in tarring BJP as "Communal".. they succeeded for decades till they destroyed themselves with corruption @jsaideepak

4. In the case of BJP-RSS, with the Secular POSITIONING taken up by Congress & others.. they had no choice but to position themselves as "Hindutva warriors".. And the best MARKET was none other than Gujarat... with majority Hindus.. And plagued with communal riots.. @jsaideepak

5. Gujarat was easy pickings for BJP as the Congress engineered communal riots and BJP found it easy to bat for the Hindus who are a dominant majority in Guj & a very religious state.. Thus.. Guj came to be the "Laboratory of Hindutva".. @jsaideepak

6. For over 2 decades BJP PROUDLY carried the stamp of "Hindu party" or "Hindutva Party" in Guj.. then made inroads in other states.. That is the POSITIONING they offered and that is also the POSITIONING that is embedded in the minds of the customers.. @jsaideepak

7. Estd Perceptions & Positioning are very difficult to change.. In 1985 when Coca Cola merely changed its colour & product variant from Red.. there were wide protests across US.. Imagine.. this is just for an ord cola.. but are people are emotionally connected to it @jsaideepak

8. Finally, as BJP failed in 2004 & in some states.. both RSS & BJP realised.. Being branded as "Hindutva" doesnt pay NATIONALLY.. So while they turned Sickular.. the customers still brand it as "Hindu Party".. they are neither Hindu nor Hindutva.. Just another Cong @jsaideepak

9. BJP failed AGAIN in 2009 despite 26/11 & Advani trying the Jinnah Sickular trick. Thats why Hindutva had to be lipstick only.. but people's mind still have BJP stamped as a "Hindu party".. BJP cannot survive as Hindu party nationally or get international approval @jsaideepak

10. Modi and RSS were well advised on this.. Therefore, Modi smartly marries Sunaina as "Hindu wife" but spends his days & nights with Salma.. Hahhaha.. Thats how it works.. Clever isnt it? END OF STORY... @jsaideepak

Political parties exist to seek power... that is normal and natural... But its the extent to which the BJP fools Hindus with lipstick nonsense that is unacceptable.. After all.. Hindu votes eventually determine the fate of parties..
