This is Father Stepan Podolchak. He kept serving mess in Ukrainian language at the occupied village of Kalanchak in the Kherson region. 2 days ago russian special services grabbed him out from his house barefoot, and put a black beg on his head.
The occupiers were torturing heavily Father Stepan and finally killed him. On February 15, russians came back to Father Stepan's home and took his wife to identify the body.
Russian special services approached father Stepan a few times asking him to accept the moscow patriarchy church. He refused and kept praying in Ukrainian at Ukrainian Patriarchy church. He paid for this choice with his life.
A petition launched last week by a soldier calling on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to allow open access to asset declarations of government officials attracted more than 80,000 signatures in 24 hours. Yesterday @ZelenskyyUa issued a veto & asked parliament to open e-declarations
@ZelenskyyUa Investigative journalists, operating under the constraints of martial law, have exposed graft in defence procurement. Defence minister Oleksiy Reznikov was replaced by the president after sharp criticism of his handling of these allegations.
President @ZelenskyyUa plans to introduce draft law, that equals corruption to treason during martial law. Sounds like a very attractive initiative, however, it poses huge risks to democracy in Ukraine. Here is why👇
Now corruption cases against top officials are being under the jurisdiction of @nab_ukr, Specialized Anticorruption Prosecution & High Anticorruption Court. Treason is the jurisdiction of the Security Service of Ukraine, which is non-reformed & is under control of the president.
@nab_ukr Once corruption crimes are equal to treason SSU will get the right to take over any corruption case investigated, prosecuted, and heard by independent agencies - NABU, SAP, and HACC. This will be a huge blow to the entire anticorruption reform in Ukraine.
Israel or Korean deal - these are "security guarantees" discussed now by the @POTUS administration for Ukraine. As alternatives to NATO invitation. Ok, if that is the plan, let's discuss what does real Korean or Israel deal mean👇
Israel's security guarantees - apart from decades of multi-billion $ funding from the US budget for weapons - are grounded on nuclear weapons developed by Israel with silence from the US. Is the US ready for Ukraine to have back its nukes? nti.org/countries/isra…
Korean armistice. There were 326 000 American troops stationed near Seoul back in 1953 to guard the armistice between North and South Korea. American military base is present in South Korea until now with about 30 000 soldiers.
So many experts in the Prigozhin-Putin conflict in the media now. So many opinions on what that means for Russia, Ukraine, and the war. @ICUVua was carefully studying the Kremlin decision-making matrix and published conclusions, which can be helpful 👇 https://t.co/gTRhWu5wLoukrainianvictory.org/wp-content/upl…
While Putin remains to be in the center of gravity in the Kremlin he is not an isolated decision-maker in Russia. He is influenced by family, confidants, and power brokers with divergent interests.
We have assessed 50 personalities and groups within Kremlin & split them into 7 categories: siloviki (defense, security, intelligence), government, state monopolies & banks, business, ideologists, confidants, selected occupied territories "gauleiters"
For everyone who still spreads "doubts" whether it was an explosion in Kakhovka. Norwegian seismic monitoring group Norsar confirmed an explosion at the Kakhovka Dam in Ukraine. jordskjelv.no/meldinger/seis…
Data from regional seismic stations show clear signals on Tuesday, June 6th, at 2:54 local time. The timing and location coincide with media reports of the collapse of the Kakhovka Dam. The signals indicate that an explosion is involved.
Moscovian occupants control Kakhovka dam since 2022. Ukrainian intelligence reported back in October that occupiers have mined the dam. Still, there are Western journalists, who have doubts, about whether there was an explosion and whether it was Russia who blew it.
