Minnesota Democratic Governor Tim Walz on the death of MN GOP Congressman Jim Hagedorn.
Walz (D) defeated Hagedorn (R) twice in close elections in 2014 and 2016 for the southern #MN01 House seat. Hagedorn ran again in 2018 and won, flipping the open seat from D to R vacated by Walz, who ran & won election as MN Gov. Hagedorn won reelection to 2nd House term in 2020.

Senate tonight unanimously passed a bipartisan resolution supporting an independent and democratic Ukraine against any further Russian military invasion, by voice vote.
Schumer: "This was a very significant resolution that we passed. It was led by Senators Shaheen & Portman, and sends a strong message to Mr. Putin the US Senate, Democrats and Republicans of all different ideologies are united in defending Ukraine in the ways the Admin sees fit."
Resolution "encourages the President that, should any further invasion or other malign activity to undermine the sovereignty of Ukraine occur by Russia,US Gov't should use the tools at its disposal to impose significant costs on the Russian Federation to restore peace in Europe."

Senate unanimously passed bipartisan legislation to provide health care for post-9/11 toxic-exposed veterans. Both VA Chair Tester and Ranking Member Moran spoke on Senate floor prior to its passage. Health Care for Burn Pit Veterans Act passed by voice vote & now heads to House. ImageImage

Senate was set tomorrow to hold its 1st vote to advance the House-passed 342-92 postal reform bill, but Florida GOP Senator Rick Scott is “threatening to block” a technical correction to be made to the bill by unanimous consent on Monday per Schumer spox.
Schumer spox: “Senate Republicans keep saying they want bipartisanship but one of their leaders is standing in the way of the Senate from taking action this week on historic, bipartisan Postal Service Reform.”
Schumer spox: “As it has been reported, the House of Representatives made a minor clerical error when it sent the bipartisan Postal Service Reform bill to the Senate. House Republicans worked with House Democrats to pass a technical correction by Unanimous Consent on Friday.”
