Weird how they never said that when the council was started it was the Metis and NonStatus Indian Association of Nova Scotia. Micmac News 1977 - Non Status And Metis association changed its name to the Native Council of Nova Scotia.

That is pretty ironic she goes on about how the Chiefs will represent a status Mi'kmaq with no Mi'kmaq blood but she calls those of us with actual descent ancestry "so-called" Eastern Metis and they block us from joining the NCNS.
