Six-year-old Zhenya plays on what remains of the school playground in the town of Novoluhansk. Ukraine. "Pretty much everyone has left. But they left a long time ago," his father Serhiy says. "Are we scared? No, we've been living with this for 8 years now. And where would we go?" 
Novoluhanske is in the part of Luhansk Oblast that is controlled by the Kyiv government, not Russia-backed separatists. It's just a few kilometres to the line of control separating the two sides.
And about 30 minutes after interviewing Serhiy on the playground, separatists started shelling forward positions outside of town. (122 mm most likely).
As @666_mancer corrects me, Novoluhanske is in fact in Donetsk Oblast, not Luhansk Oblast (логично...!)
