After studying copy and working with many fitness Twitter accounts, I've come to a conclusion that most suspect but perhaps are hoping is just hyperbole:
People don't give a shit about being healthy.
They don't even give a shit about being in shape.
What do they care about?
They care about not getting laid and not being broke.
The first one needs no explanation. People will even accept low quality or a substitute.
That second one is a little depressing when we dig deeper.
I promise, I'm gonna get back to fitness, but this detour is necessary.
People care about being comfortable.
They don't want a lot of money. They don't want a lot of success. They don't even want to develop skills.
They just don't want to work hard. Get rich schemes only work on the lazy, almost by definition.
If you wanna sell something...
Don't tell them it's gonna make a lot of money. Tell them it's easy.
People are fucking lazy. Or, more generally speaking, they prefer the most energy-efficient configuration for their life.
That sounds alright until you remember that efficient ≠ effective.
Back to fitness...
Fitness takes discipline and work. Even the most effortless system still, by typical American diet and exercise standards, takes a *tremendous* effort.
People know this, either anecdotally, experientially, or intuitively.
I salute you guys who get people in shape for a living.
If they aren't trying to get laid (or keep getting laid), I just don't think most people care about their health.
Until it's too late. But then it's too late.

I’ve developed my writing skills over the past 6 years via a combination of college research, social media growth, and sales copy that’s earned me over 1 million dollars.
On August 19th at 8:00 p.m., I’m putting on a 1-hour seminar to teach how to do the same.
I will teach you:
The common errors that ruin the engagement of your writing.
If you’re doing any of these fairly common things, your writing won’t be read. If it’s not read, you can’t make money from it.
How to use social media without it using you.
The problem most people have is that they get caught up in arguing.
I will show you how to avoid the headaches that come with social media and still have fun.
