Oh and of course they want to extend the Emergencies Act indefinitely because if you are one of the 68% of voters who didn’t support a Federal Liberal candidate you are probably a secret Far Right Commie Nazi.

I see the new coping strategy regarding the ending of restrictions is that the protests accomplished nothing because we were going to re-open anyways.

I thought I would make a quick thread on how many reopening plans Ontario has already had.

Plan 1 was announced in May 2020 and it originally looked like this.
All of the regulations regarding the reopening plan would be legislated under the Reopening Ontario Act.

This legislation is still in force.

I think a lot of people forgot just how quickly
@JustinTrudeau divided the country and turned Canadians against each other.

I can’t speak for all Canadians because I live in Ontario and this will mostly be from that perspective.

Our goals were met to enter Step 3 of the reopening plan on July 9th, 2021.

These seem like quaint times with generous vax rates in comparison to where we are now.

I keep hearing the same mantra from @JustinTrudeau about vaccination uptake in Canada.

"Canadians stepped up and did the right thing."

I thought I would make a 🧵 of what voluntary means in Canada in 2022.
Do you want to board a domestic or international flight, or travel by VIA rail in Canada?

Then you must be vaccinated.

There are only a few limited exemptions, oh and by the way if you lie about them you could be charged with a criminal offence or fined.

They spent the past three days stoking fear that HCWs workers and hospitals would be under attack and Bill C-3 was all that could protect them.

I thought long and hard about how I would compose this next #COVIDGrifter 🧵.

I have a particular bone to pick with Abdu Sharkawy and I think the best way to air those grievances is to talk about myself a bit as well.

Confession - I horded toilet paper.

I started stockpiling food, clothing, toothpaste, batteries, bleach, various types of emergency radios, sanitary supplies, water purification tablets and filters, you name it in early January of 2020.

I was scared of the mysterious pneumonia.
All of this was done in secret without my wife knowing. She rarely ventured down into our basement crawl space where I hid everything.

Part of me didn’t want to alarm her (maybe this would be nothing). Part of me was embarrassed I was acting irrationally. I spent thousands of $.
