If you look at the #nft landscape today, you will see a few clearly defined categories emerging

Algorithmic art - @artblocks_io
PFPs - @BoredApeYC , @doodles
Anime - @AzukiZen @LivesOfAsuna
Metaverse - @nftworldsNFT @TheSandboxGame
And most recently, "Female led/focused" 👇

Some well known projects in this niche include, @worldofwomennft , @BossBeautiesNFT, @crypto_coven @FlowerGirlsNFT @WomenandWeapons .....

Driven by powerful female artists/leaders, with mostly social conscious missions, these projects have carved out a clear niche 👇

So what do I see as key criteria for success in this niche?

1) art that you should be proud of owning/representing you
2) builders leading the team
3) doxxed

Let's dig in why I think these are the key factors for success 👇

1) Art:
Women in NFTs (and broadly in tech) have a representation problem

While the numbers r getting better, there is still a huge male bias in tech (there still isn't even a proper female word for "tech bro")

I am going to make some broad assumptions here but I believe..👇

Women in tech love reping strong female PFPs

Not a drooling pig.. or a bat.. or a ugly cat, or even an an ape... they want nice looking, human avatars that project beauty, power and authority

This is why female animal projects have failed while human looking projects have 🚀

2) Proven builders:

All NFT projects are startups, & the most successful ones (like #BAYC and #Doodles) are run top to bottom like companies

But proven, successful leadership is also one of the most lacking things in the space

95% (guess) projects are a bunch of kids who.. 👇

..think they can spin up a discord/website, buy followers on Twitter, create some fomo invite contest, sell some PFPs and then "see how it goes from there"

Even most of the well intentioned projects have no real business builders at the top

Projects that have great proven..👇

..leaders at the top, have killed it

Best example is @lisacmayer at @BossBeautiesNFT

She was building @MySocialCanvas years before and had already formed relationships with @target and other major corps

That experience probably helped her secure partnerships with @Marvel 👇

.. the @NYSE and the UN etc for @BossBeautiesNFT

3) Doxxed
Women lead/focused projects have a tremendous tailwind from being able to secure partnerships with socially conscious corporations

But what is the one thing large corps hate? RISK. Especially reputational risk to.. 👇

.their brands

Big brands would hate to be in a position where the "upcoming female" project they partnered with, is actually a "bunch of Russian dudes" (or worse)

A doxxed team largely eliminates that risk, making striking partnerships that much easier

So now that I have..

..established my thesis, let's look at @meta_angels through that lens

1) Art: what @aslanruby has created, to me, is one of the most nicest looking PFPs. The detail, the colors, the traits that all nicely match, the diversity... it's all there

And each come with a description that is touching & immensely relatable

I've spent hours looking at angels, reading their descriptions & admiring the beauty of it all

I can totally see how someone would find the perfect angel for themselves, & fall deeply in love with it

2) Proven fully doxxed builders

"We’re a team of serial entrepreneurs.." that's how the team description starts, let's dig in

But that's not all,

@meta_angels also have the backing of @randizuckerberg as an advisor and @Zeneca_33 as a backer (holds 120 angels)

And anyone who knows Zeneca know that he is one of the best long term thinkers in the space.

With this A+ list of builders at the helm,
- support from a full team
- and networking from strong well connected advisors/backers,

I am fully confident they should have no trouble securing partnerships that will further their brand/mission

But what exactly is their mission?👇

The angels mission revolve around three pillars,
- Generosity
- Transparency (this one is really interesting, see 2nd image)
- Accessibility

And they've been living these principals since day 1. Read this thread about the unique approach they took for the.. 👇

..Mint as an example of how intentional & thoughtful the team was in their approach (prioritizing quality of contribution over quantity, elevating valuable members to the mint-list)

To me this shows they are in it for the right reasons!

And since that mint (which sold out before hitting the public), the project has done quite well

- Price up 4X from mint price
- Holders up to 4385 & climbing
- Most importantly, very little floor talk in Discord (always a good sign)
- All this with hardly any "announcements"

I am extremely bullish (as much or more bullish as when I got in to #nftworlds @ 0.15E), & have placed my bets accordingly
