#23_February is a date etched in stone by the blood of Rajputs in what is exclusively a Rajput tradition of Jauhar & Saka.
No race/community in the world has so oft repeated this unheard of & unparalleled feat of Last Stands so readily over centuries.
It was 23 February 1568 !
Akbar had sat before mighty Chitrakoot (Chittorgarh) for months with resources of an empire aiding his pursuit of personal glory & subjugation of #Hindua_Suraj, Rana of Mewar.
Prima Donna of reigning Hindu Princes. Rana Udai Singh sat on the hallowed throne of Kumbha & Sanga !
The siege has begun on 20 October 1567. Rana had given shelter to Baz Bahadur besides the Mirzas of Sambhal.
Rana was epitome of chivalry, valour & inherited the pride of his ancestors refusing to bow to Akbar.
Abul Fazl, “none of his ancestors had bowed & kissed the ground” !
And, Udai Singh not in the league of Kumbha or Sanga wasn’t amenable to it either. Mandalgarh had fallen & now Akbar stood before Chittorgarh in vain hope of its garrison surrendering. Rana had been asked to leave by his vassals, fort commanded by Jaimal Rathore & Patta Sisodiya.
Fort had 8000 Rajputs defending against a host of 55000 Mughal. Full 58 days after the siege was raised, on 22 Feb a fluke shot got Jaimal in leg which wounded the commander besides the breach in citadel had endangered the garrison’s situation in defending it.
Rajput women laid the Jauhar pyres at selected places & immolated themselves in the hoary traditions of Rajputs. Not all did immolate, some fought till they died as soldiers.
Mother of Patta Chundawat, Sajjan Bai Soniggura armed herself & her daughter in law, wife of Patta.
The latter, Jiwan Bai Solanki, an excellent marksman was finally killed in the battle. Such deeds performed by the mothers & wives, made the Rajput reckless of his life.
The final journey, the Saka, began with the 8000 taking the last ‘Bida’ betel leaf, put on their #Kesariya &
began the work of Rudra, no one lived to soil the Kesariya with an inglorious surrender.
Rajputs rode death, selling lives dearer than anything could command & extracting heavy price of the Mughals.
When Salumbar fell at Suraj Pol, it was not a fight for survival but Honour !
Abul Fazl records the heroics of Jaimal & Kalla Rathore between Hanuman Pol & Bhairav Pol. Fazl calls Kalla Ji as an inspiration for Rajputs.
Rajput chronicles speak of ‘Charbhuja’ with Jaimal riding shoulders of his nephew Kalla wrecked havoc & both wielding swords in both hands
To eternise this memory of the lives lost to senseless massacre. Numerals 74.5 are accursed. Marked on bankers seal, it’s the strongest of seals, reads “Chittod Marya ka Paap” is thereby invoked on all who violate this sacredness.
Janue was taken away to Agra to proclaim defeat.

Ignorant handles have gone overboard with la-la land Map.
Kanging over Chauth & claiming it as Tribute. Facts speak otherwise.
Chauth was granted under the “Ahadnama” better known as Treaty of Kannauj, signed on 23 April 1752 by Wazir Safdarjung for Mughals & Marathas.
Why?
Abdali was a constant threat to the Mughal territories in NW & had invaded India 3 times by 1751.
Besides the Mughals were weakened to an extent that they were threatened by the Rohillas, the Rajputs, who had virtually gone independent since 1708, and the Jats in the North.
What were the terms of the Agreement? 1. Peshwa committed to protect the boundaries of the fractured Mughal empire against foreign invaders like Abdali, internal like Rajputs, Rohillas.. also recover territory lost by Mughals. 2. A sum of ₹50 lakh was given to Marathas for…
8th century Sindh; Cattleherders, nomads, assisted the Arab invaders against Dahir, Hindu King. Betrayed water secrets of Meds to Arabs. First converts to Islam in the subcontinent. No change in social status, remained worse than Chandals & equal to Dogs.
10-12th Century; migration to upper Sindh & Punjab, slowly evolved into farm labour from nomadic cattleherders. Engaged in petty thievery, looting caravans & laggards of retreating armies, camps. Station; Lowest strata of society. But better than Chandals/Dogs,
13-15th century; settled into fertile agricultural lands of Punjab, evolved into farmers & agriculturists. Became landed farmers in wake of the Islamic invasions, where Jats converted en masse to Islam. Formed small clusters offered no resistance to invaders except plunder.
Khejarli Massacre is a 20th-century hoax. There is not a single contemporary source which speaks of this perfidy.
The entire narrative is so grand in itself that anyone denying it is labelled as Casteist. It supposedly happened in 1730 when Marwar was under Maharaja Abhay Singh..
Narrative is woven at a later date to demonize the Rajput rule. Name of Maharaja was a deliberate attempt at muddying the name of Abhay Singh, while the incident was attributed to a Minister, Girdhar Bhandari, who had ordered the cutting of trees.
Motive for cutting has been…
described differently by different sources, some say “to build a palace “, others, “to make lime”, thereby exposing the fakery behind the narrative.
All sources are dubious, to say the least, all hearsay, the so-called Sakhis are stories, anecdotal primarily, are being used as…
Why do you find so many Rajput Surnames being used by Gujjars ?
Anthropological studies of Gujjars have shown that most of them CLAIM RAJPUT ANCESTRY !
Reason: Some Rajput Prince took Gujar woman as a Khawas or Concubine !
Claim Chauhan, Tanwar & Other well known septs.
All these Gujjar clans have ridiculously the same story that their “ancestress was a beautiful woman who while going with a water pot… it so pleased the Rajput Chieftain that he took her into the Zenana & thus a new Gotra sprang from this union”
Includes both Gujjar & Jat Women
Gujjars in Karnal were notorious thieves. Like Ranghars are addicted to cattle lifting but are less chivalrous than Ranghars in robberies.
“The Dog, the Cat, the Ranghar & Gujjar, if it weren’t for these four, you might sleep with your doors open” says a lot about Gujjar.
Sawai Jai Singh of Amber was a unique personality of the 18 century, not many match his zeal for development & creation of forgotten sciences of astronomy, town planning & architecture when the country was torn by feud, intrigue & rebellion.
He ruled for 44 years, (1699-1743) !
Contemporary of 5 Mughal Emperors, a keen astronomer who propagated the ancient science throughout the country.
5 stone observatories are testimony to his developmental urge.
