Between Florida's "Don't Say Gay" bill and this new Texas policy, governors in two of the biggest states are trying to roll back queer rights this week.
Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) directs state agencies to investigate gender-affirming care for trans children as "child abuse."
And here's South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem after signing an anti-trans sports bill earlier this month.

South Dakota has a second anti-trans bill — about school facilities — currently making its way through the legislature.
WH Press Sec. Jen Psaki condemns Gov. Greg Abbott's (R-TX) directive to investigate parents for helping kids obtain gender-affirming care:

"There are efforts in some states ... designed to target and attack the kids who need support the most."

U.S. Senate candidate @GaryChambersJr (D-LA) says campaign ad of him smoking cannabis was to "cut through the noise" around legalization:

"It's not something that should be controversial anymore. 68% of people in Louisiana believe cannabis should be legalized recreationally."
Here is @GaryChambersJr smoking a blunt in a campaign ad:

“Every 37 seconds, someone is arrested for possession of marijuana … Black people are four times more likely to be arrested for marijuana laws than white people.”
And here is @GaryChambersJr's newest campaign ad, in which he burns a Confederate flag:

"One in three Black children live in poverty. It's time to burn what remains of the Confederacy down."

NBC's Lester Holt asks about Biden's definition of "temporary" inflation. Biden says, "I think you're being a wise guy with me a little bit. I understand that's your job."

Biden then explains inflationary pressures and why he thinks it'll "taper" off this year.
Reacting to the Holt/Biden moment, @Bakari_Sellers says, "Yeah, it was a terrible answer, and I would tell them that if they were looking me in the face."

Sellers say nobody wants "to hear what Nobel laureates actually say about the problem ..."

Solutions or I feel your pain.
Predictably, Fox & Friends is all over this Holt/Biden inflation moment.

Brian Kilmeade, who is decidedly not an economist, says Biden is like "Rain Man with Build Back Better."

Kilmeade then slams Paul Krugman as "a left-wing economist who somehow won a Nobel prize."
