(🔐) MAJOR BREAKING NEWS: New Revelations Indicate Ginni Thomas Was Key Author of Trump’s January 6 Coup Plot
This is an explosive but extremely well-sourced report. I hope you’ll subscribe to PROOF, RETWEET this news widely, and follow the thread below. sethabramson.substack.com/p/breaking-new…
1/ As regular PROOF readers know, PROOF articles are both long and deliberately slow burns; they build a journalistic case through numerous sources and links and callbacks to significant past reporting. This article is no exception—some of its most explosive components come late.
2/ The most significant work the article does, and I consider this only the tip of a very large iceberg, is it dispels the false notion that *either* Peter Navarro *or* John Eastman were the authors of what is now known as Trump's coup plot: the vile, seditious "Green Bay Sweep."
3/ All the evidence we have confirms the core concepts behind the "Green Bay Sweep" originated from two secretive far-right orgs run by—you guessed it—Ginni Thomas. Trump's legal ops, as to both lawyers *and* so-called "experts," was staffed by Thomas's friends and subordinates.
4/ But this *isn't* an article that merely positions Ginni Thomas as leading the January 6 effort from a lofty perch—though at times it's clear she did so, and that her lofty perch included unprecedented direct access to the President of the United States across a 2-year period.
5/ Ginni Thomas, this article reveals in extensive detail, was a leader of the January 6 scheme in a *literal* and *on-the-ground* fashion, directly intervening to form the coalition that made the chaos of January 6 possible. Indeed, the evidence now suggests that Ginni Thomas...
6/ ...may have been *more* involved in January 6 than any other plotter. How? As a key figure in more *spheres* than *anyone* I've encountered thus far:
🟥 White House
🟧 Trump Legal
🟨 Team Kraken
🟩 Women for America First
🟦 Groundswell
🟪 CNP Action
🟫 Congressional Outreach
7/ Even that's not all, as unlike any other plotter Ginni Thomas had an in-road to two other components of the "Green Bay Sweep":
⬛️ The Supreme Court
⬜️ The White House Personnel Office
It can rightly be said that Ginni Thomas *shaped* the government that sought a self-coup...
8/ ...on the front end, and then on the *back end* had unprecedented access to the thinking of the man that a key CNP member has called the "real Chief Justice [of the United States]" and Mitch McConnell has dubbed the "north star" of the MAGA GOP and one of its key "leaders."
9/ I have now spent well over a year writing nearly 200 articles—all of them long and exhaustively sourced—about the January 6 insurrection. And I can find no figure more connected to every component of the event than Ginni Thomas. Yet Congress and the FBI won't go near her. Why?
10/ Name a person involved in the coup plotting and they're likely tied to Ginni Thomas—who'd be at the *center* of the web of coup-plotter interrelationships if one were to draw one. Steve Bannon. Ali Alexander. Cleta Mitchell. John Eastman. Barbara Ledeen. Russell Ramsland, Jr.
11/ The list goes on and on. Trump. John McEntee. Don Berlin. Rich Higgins. Mark Meadows. It is—as I said—hard to find *any* sphere inside the January 6 investigation that Ginni Thomas wouldn't be one of the *first* people you'd want to talk to about.
But that's not surprising.
12/ It's not surprising because Ginni Thomas has been a radical on a self-described "mission" for decades—and ethics of any kind have never been a block on her advances. Which is why the other thing this article does is present a portrait of Thomas that's accurate and horrifying.
CONCLUSION/ Ginni Thomas is still involved in the insurrection, just less publicly. This article ends with an interaction between Thomas and the camp of a likely 2024 GOP POTUS candidate—DeSantis—that'll scare you. She's dangerous, and must be subpoenaed/interrogated immediately.

I wonder how many Americans truly understand that corporate media is listening to precisely *none* of the criticisms leveled against it.
In a decade of the Trump era, they haven't changed their methods a whit and still don't understand why we see the WHCA dinner as contemptible.
No criticism penetrates. They continue to irresponsibly use anonymous sources, privilege access journalism, refuse to cut off sources known to lie, practice bothsidesism, give time to demagogues, air content they know false, conduct ineffectual fact-checking. No self-improvement.
And you know what? *For what their values are*, they do things exactly right. They value money and fame only, and they change nothing about what they do because they're getting enough of each. *You*, America, gave Maggie Haberman millions for her latest work of access journalism.
(🧵) My experience with lawyers on Twitter is summarized by the thread: people reading into things I wrote ideas I never said or thought, batting down principles I never advanced because they're clearly false, and treating burning a field of straw men as intelligence. So asinine.
1/ You have to understand that many lawyers—particularly trial lawyers like I used to be—have a love-hate relationship with attention. Suffice to say very few lawyers have broken through to have a large audience online and those who haven't are pissed about it, so what they do...
2/ ...is find lawyers with larger audiences and pick stupid fights with them—like this person is here. And they do that because sometimes, as here, they get rewarded with a response because they have pissed the object of their trolling off enough to generate one. Again, asinine.
The most sober, terrifying thing I can say as a Trump presidential historian is that what happened tonight was not about you, me, or America.
He's going to do what he's going to do based on how he convinces *himself* to do it.
Nothing else matters. He's not listening to anyone.
However it came to pass—childhood trauma, genetics, dementia—this US president is now functionally a psychopath. He lives in his own reality. He converses only with himself. All America is now downstream from a madman who's not listening to anyone or anything but his own madness.
The 25th was made for this moment.
It won't be used because Trump nominated cowards.
Impeachment was made for this moment.
It won't be used because America elected cowards.
The federal courts were made to stop this.
They won't because lifetime appointments reward cowardice.
I'm watching the Trump speech because I have to for my job and it's the most batshit crazy presidential speech I've ever heard in my nearly 50 years alive
Where it's coherent—which is only intermittently—it's on its face the largest tureen of turd soup any POTUS has ever served
I'm not in the first instance saying I don't understand how anyone could believe what the man is saying but rather how anyone could *understand* what he's trying to say
In the rare moments I think I understand what he's saying, it is the biggest most insane lie I have ever heard
What the President of the United States appears to be saying tonight is that our entire government is secretly run by China and has been for years and as far as evidence of that claim is concerned there really does not seem to be any whatsoever
(🚨) PROOF EXCLUSIVE: I’ve published 1,500+ pages of bestsellers on the coup plot Trump is about to move to Stage 2. One-sentence or one-post summaries do it no justice.
1/ I understand that there are many people out there who say, OK, he is going to lie about election interference. He always does that. It is noise, not news.
These people (and their blitheness) are wrong, and wrong in a way that is going to be dangerous to the United States now.
2/ There is a reason many are demanding the Thursday speech not be televised. There is a reason many are saying it could be the most deranged presidential speech ever.
But in a way, *that* is the noise. It presumes that what matters is what he says, not what he is going to *do*.
If I'd told you that on the evening of July 4th on the nation's 250th birthday it would be 11:15PM, Trump would not yet have spoken, there would only be a few hundred people in attendance, and the event stage would be featuring a foreign opera, you would've had me committed
Whoa he just showed up and he looks absolutely livid at the tiny, low-energy crowd
Every time he strays from his milquetoast script it is either to make up lies about a Communist threat, babble repetitiously, or whine about how he has been treated
This crowd is so small I kid you not you can hear *individual people* cheering
