Ok, after years of warnings were ignored and hearing "Garry, you were right!" all damn day today, I'll repeat what I said in 2014: Stop telling me I was right and listen to what I'm saying now. My recommendations follow: 1/5
-Support Ukraine militarily, immediately, everything but boots on the ground. All weapons, intel, cyber.
-Bankrupt Putin's war machine. Freeze & seize Russia's finances & those of him and his gang.
-Kick Russia out of every intl & financial institution. PACE, Interpol, etc 2/5
-Recall all ambassadors from Russia. There is no point in talking. The new unified message is "stop or be isolated completely".
-Ban all elements of Putin's global propaganda machine. Turn them off, shut them down, send them home. Stop helping the dictator spread lies & hate.

-Expose and act against Putin's lackeys in the free world. If Schröder and his ilk continue to work for Putin, bring charges. Ask the owners & advertisers of networks platforming Putin propagandists like Carlson why they allow it. 4/5
-Replace Russian oil & gas. Pressure OPEC, increase production, reopen Keystone. You can't save the planet if you don't save the people on it.
-Acknowledge there will be costs, sacrifices. We waited to long, the price is high, but it will only get higher. It's time to fight. 5/5
Cannot ignore the political 5th column of Putinists, from the far right & left in EU to the tankies & Trump & his GOP followers in the US. They may have the right to support a brutal dictator's war in order to criticize Biden, but it's disgusting and anti-American. Do not forget.

Nobody can doubt my anti-Communist credentials--and I have no tolerance for the Socialists making inroads in the Dem Party. But this Trump admin attempt at a new Red Scare is pathetic. At least in the Spanish Civil War, there were actual Communists for the fascists to fight!
Trumpism is the clear and present danger, from the threats to fair elections to the epic corruption to the personality cult to the state interference in business and rights that are more Communist than anything the Dem Socialist fringe has any chance of achieving.
Trump is the figurehead of a fascist and fascist-inspired campaign against the pillars of US democracy. It's worth refuting far-left officials, & watching the fringe "influencers", but the Trump admin trying to inspire panic over invisible Communists is just classic propaganda.

This is why Putin continues to invest billions in propaganda and cultivating Western politicians and organizations. He still believes there’s a way back despite being a war criminal dictator, who just yesterday killed dozens more innocent civilians in Ukraine.
Trump is presiding over the 2028 games in Los Angeles and is always doing everything possible to rehabilitate Putin and Russia. This type of soft power is always a priority for Putin, and thus for Trump.

Needed, but as long as Trump is in Putin‘s pocket, and Graham is in Trump‘s, they aren’t going to happen. Every such "accident" is a Russian test, and so far Europe and NATO are failing those tests.
Putin doesn’t care about strongly worded memos or other pieces of paper like the NATO charter. He cares about consequences. As long as the West is eager to help him cover up Russian atrocities by dismissing them as accidents, why should he stop?
Russia murdered with a nuclear isotope and nerve gas in England, and shot down a civilian airliner, killing 298 people. Countless acts of sabotage and interference. The West obligingly investigates and delays and denies instead of responding and confronting the perpetrator.

What a joke. Russia has already been systematically bombing Ukrainian cities in terrorist attacks for years. There will be more, but this appeal to the US is nothing more than an attempt to keep Kremlin loyalist Trump involved to Russia’s benefit.
Russia boasting about massive military terror attacks on civilian centers is at least useful for humiliating its sycophants and sympathizers in the West. Every European government should now implement full support for Ukraine, the nation that is single-handedly defending them.
Much like Trump, Putin is excellent at humiliating his most pathetic defenders. The parliamentarians, the academics, anyone who defended Russia’s invasion with bullshit about separatists, NATO, Nazis, or self-defense. Here is your answer. Russia is terror, and proud of it.

Putin only cares about oil prices, getting sanctions lifted, and blocking aid and putting pressure on Ukraine. The worse Russia is doing in Ukraine, the more Ukraine strikes Russian energy, the more Putin will use Trump to seek relief.
Russia is murdering Ukrainians every day, bombing civilians in cities. Intentionally, a campaign of terror. And we're supposed to take these calls seriously when it's all garbage. Putin and Trump have always been on the same side and it's not America's or the free world's.
Summits, peace talks, negotiations, everything involving the US and Russia together has been a sham. A few business deals for their oligarchs and cronies, but otherwise just a show to avoid US aid, European action, and Ukrainian strikes. Congress & EU have abetted the charade.

With an aggressive Russia and a complicit America, what will Europe do to protect its values and interests? Is it willing to take on the role of leader of the free world, or will it stand by and watch events unfold, even as they move from its doorstep to squarely at home?
The war in Ukraine has forced European politicians to think pragmatically. For all my emphasis on values, this is good; if moral conviction isn't enough to get Europe’s leaders to intervene on behalf of freedom, but imminent threat of war & democratic collapse will, so be it.
