I'm rejecting my @Pornhub Awards nomination. Here's why:
I've never branded myself as a BBW (Big Beautiful Woman) performer. This is an intentional choice I made when I began my porn career in 2012. (thread! 🧵)

I've never shot for BBW niche specific companies, and I don't use related tags on my PH uploads. Pornhub didn't contacted me to verify the nomination, so I never had a chance to discuss with a PH representative.

Considering that every other awards show in the industry requires models or their PR teams/agents to submit themselves for specific categories (probably to avoid this exact thing -- people getting nominations they don't want), this is a bit ridiculous.

I know I'm not the only one who sees a GLARING problem with nominating a non-plus-size model in a category that serves plus size models. It's tone-deaf and exclusionary, as well as fatphobic.

By nominating me, PH has taken away a nom. opportunity from another model who deserves to be recognized for her work. The entire reason that the industry has developed "niche" categories is to hold space for performers who do not fit the prescribed "norms" of the industry.

In many ways I don't fit the norms of the industry, but my size isn't one of them. I won't get into specifics here because it's unnecessary and potentially triggering to those w/ ED and/or body dysmorphia, but suffice it to say, it's incorrect to label me as a BBW performer.

(Side note, it would be great if our industry didn't rely so heavily on niches and tags in general. It can be fetishizing and/or othering in ways that many of us in the industry would like to move beyond. But as long as there are award categories, we'll probably have this issue)

Oh, and they put my stage name wrong on the nomination, too. Just to really drive home how much they're not paying attention. Anyway, I'm deleting all of my videos from my PH channel as I type this. And I had several upcoming scenes with @Brazzers, all of which I just canceled.

I will no longer be shooting for any MindGeek-owned studios for the foreseeable future. Y'all know how much branding matters in this industry, and it's truly disappointing to have my brand as a perfomer disregarded in this manner. Do better, @Pornhub.

OH also wanted to add -- as I said in the first tweet in this thread, I decided in 2012 NOT to brand myself as a BBW performer, even though I knew I was quite a bit larger than the "average" model shooting mainstream porn. Why did I make that choice?

Because I wanted to see more women of my size and my body type having wider acceptance from mainstream porn studios, and I knew it wouldn't happen if all of the models bigger than a size 6 were separated into BBW-only studio shoots.

Remember, this was 20-FUCKING-12, before everybody was getting BBLs. You were either a lean MILF w/ big tits, or a lean teen w/ small tits. Having any ass at all was, like, incidental, not a feature 😂 the term "PAWG" had barely been invented. "Thick" referred only to milkshakes.
